As part of the Digital, Transformation and Change team, the Transformation Delivery Lead is responsible for planning, managing, and executing delivery of transformation and large change needed to deliver our strategic goals. Working with business leaders, digital product leads, and change managers you will develop a clear portfolio of initiatives and instil best practice programme and project management to ensure clear value cases, delivery, resource plans and robust risk management processes.

The Transformation Delivery Lead will drive the transformation agenda by leading and coordinating activities across Infrastructure Delivery. This role requires strong collaboration, planning, and a comprehensive understanding of the bigger picture to ensure the successful execution of the transformation portfolio. The Transformation Delivery Lead will take charge of providing support and capacity to business leaders, ensuring that all initiatives are aligned and effectively managed.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage transformation projects from initiation to closure, ensuring timely and efficient execution.
  • Accountable for the delivery of agreed outcomes aligned to the transformation roadmap.
  • Lead cross-functional project teams to deliver the project outcomes, ensuring delivery capability, managing performance and securing sufficient resources.
  • Drive solutions, secure decisions, and overcome barriers and blockers. Manage risks and issues effectively
  • Lead governance for initiatives creating a structured, trusted and stable programme environment where progress, scope and deliverables are clearly tracked and monitored.
  • Foster an environment which is transparent, efficient and organised where workstream leads are clear on what is expected of them and progress is clearly communicated.
  • Work with the PMO Analyst to build a prioritised and integrated roadmap and delivery milestones at a portfolio level supported by clear plans/milestones at the initiative level with clear ownership within the business
  • Proactively identify interdependencies across the transformation and change portfolio, collaborating with those involved to ensure interdependencies are effectively managed.
  • Ensure required resources, capability and capacity are understood, managed and fit for purpose to deliver the transformation programme change portfolio alongside business-as-usual activities.
  • Facilitate project meetings and workshops as required such as lessons learned, ensuring effective communication and collaboration among stakeholders.
  • Maintain comprehensive project documentation (e.g. RAID logs, change requests, lessons learned)
  • Create and manage detailed delivery plans which will drive forward transformation projects in order to achieve strategic goals.
  • Define clear measures of success and targets / outcomes with a clear baseline in order to show progress and benefits realisation
  • Ensure needs cases and business cases are developed effectively and prioritised against outcomes to develop a transformation portfolio that delivers strategic objectives while driving a volume of change that can be absorbed by the business.

  • Proven experience as a Project Manager, Delivery Lead or in a similar role
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to communicate and influence up to senior levels
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver in a fast-paced setting.
  • Excellent interpersonal, empathy and communication skills and ability to build strong relationships.
  • Exceptional ability to solve problems and think analytically.
  • Great organisational and time management skills
