Location - Pune

We are looking for DB2 zO/S.

o Database support which includes Development, testing, Performance testing, Production implementations.

o Expert knowledge of Db2 for z/OS along with mainframe related tools such as BMC (Change manger, Catalog manager) DB2 tools and monitoring tools, IBM DB2 Tools and monitoring tools.

o Expert knowledge of DB2V12 BMC and IBM utilities image copy, reorg, recovery... etc

o SQL tuning and optimization experience desired.

o Provides 24x7 on call support within a team rotation.

o Create new DB2 objects based on application requirement.

o REXX programming skills.

o Ability to quickly diagnose the problem areas and come up with solutions and/or workarounds.

o experience in Replication technologies of IBM and Oracle (IIDR Q-replication, CDC replication) preferred.

o Assist in implementation of new features and program fixes in databases.

o Candidate must be self-motivated and assertive while possessing the ability to handle and prioritize multiple tasks in a team environment.

o Perform disaster recovery tests and solving issues.

Ideal select should be able to support both mainframe systems and apps from DBA perspective.

2. Skill upgradation and competency building

• Clear wipro exams and internal certifications from time to time to upgrade the skills
• Attend trainings, seminars to sharpen the knowledge in functional/ technical domain
• Write papers, articles, case studies and publish them on the intranet
