Role Summary

The .NET Architect will be responsible for defining, designing, and governing the architecture of enterprise-scale .NET applications supporting RSA's insurance platforms. The role requires strong hands-on architecture skills, deep understanding of Microsoft technologies, and experience working in regulated insurance environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end application architecture for .NET-based systems across development, integration, and deployment.
• Define solution architecture, technical standards, and design guidelines aligned to RSA enterprise architecture.
• Lead modernization initiatives including legacy system transformation to cloud-ready and scalable architectures.
• Provide architectural governance across development teams, ensuring adherence to best practices.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders, product owners, and vendors to translate requirements into robust technical solutions.
• Review and approve high-level and low-level designs (HLD/LLD).
• Guide teams on performance optimization, security, scalability, and resilience.
• Support production issues, root-cause analysis, and technical risk mitigation.
• Mentor senior developers and act as a technical escalation point.

Technical Skills (Mandatory)

• Strong expertise in .NET Framework / .NET Core / ASP.NET / C#
• Experience with Microservices architecture and RESTful APIs
• Strong knowledge of SQL Server, data modeling, and performance tuning
• Hands-on experience with Azure cloud (App Services, Functions, APIs, Storage, CI/CD)
• Experience with DevOps practices (Azure DevOps, CI/CD pipelines)
• Strong understanding of security principles (authentication, authorization, encryption)
• Experience with integration patterns, messaging, and middleware

Good to Have

• Experience in Insurance domain (Claims, Policy, Billing systems)
• Exposure to legacy modernization programs
• Knowledge of event-driven architecture and messaging platforms
• Experience with regulatory and compliance-driven environments

Experience & Qualifications

• Proven experience delivering enterprise-scale .NET solutions
• Prior onsite client-facing experience (UK/Europe preferred)
• Strong communication and stakeholder-management skills
