Job Description
We're looking for an Observability Architect to
1. Design and implement observability solutions for IT system and applications
2. Co-ordinate with business users and IT Teams to understand observability requirements
3. Diagnose, identify and execute steps to improve system observability
4. Create, maintain and update system documentation and operational procedures related to observability
5. Monitor infrastructure alerts and respond anomalies
6. Recommend and implement solutions to improve system observability and reduce incidents
7. Take ownership and resolve open support tickets related to observability while adhering to defined SLAs
8. Identify and implement automation opportunities to enhance observability
Your Expertise
1. 7-10 years of experience as an Observability Architect or similar role within the financial sector

2. Expertise in designing and implementing observability solutions for larger systems and applications that are geographically distributed
3. Good understanding of web based application development, deployment and different hosting platforms like Tomcat IIS, etc
4. Good understanding of Cloud ( Azure Preferred ) services like Iaas, Paas, and Saas services and networking concepts
5. Good understanding of version control tool like Gitlab and CI/CD process
6. Aware of System/ Design thinking concepts
7. Good understanding of incident and problem management and integrations
8. Usage of AIOPS and Bau would be beneficial
9. Good problem solving and analytical skills with an ability to break down the problems and identify resolution steps
10. Ability to partner with other IT and business Teams in context of issue resolution, comfortable working in a team with diverse backgrounds and culture in a distributed Team environment
11. Familiarity with cloud-native observability solutions
Preferred hands-on Experience with below
1. Experience with monitoring and observability tools like Prometheus, Grafana and ELK stack
2. Knowledge of containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes
3. Experience with automation tools like Ansible, Terraform or similar
4. Proficiency with scripting language like Powershell/ bash/ Python
5. Proficiency with rest API and batch loading / integration techniques
6. Proficiency with programming languages like C#, Java
7. Proficiency with database and their observability eg. SQL/ PostgreSQL
8. Strong understanding of network protocols and security best practices
9. Certification in relevant technologies or frameworks
3.Competency Building and Branding
- Ensure completion of necessary trainings and certifications
- Develop Proof of Concepts (POCs),case studies, demos etc. for new growth areas based on market and customer research
- Develop and present a point of view of Wipro on solution design and architect by writing white papers, blogs etc.
- Attain market referencability and recognition through highest analyst rankings, client testimonials and partner credits
- Be the voice of Wipro’s Thought Leadership by speaking in forums (internal and external)
- Mentor developers, designers and Junior architects in the project for their further career development and enhancement
- Contribute to the architecture practice by conducting selection interviews etc
