Role Purpose and Overview

This Software Engineer role involves designing, developing, testing, and maintaining high-quality software applications primarily focused on Python-based systems and RESTful APIs. You will be responsible for delivering reliable, scalable, and maintainable code that seamlessly integrates with client-specific operating systems and applications, ensuring that every solution meets rigorous quality assurance standards and aligns with business requirements.

• A minimum of 4 to 5 years of professional experience developing software solutions using Python, with proven expertise in creating RESTful APIs and microservices architectures.
• Proficient in working with MongoDB databases, particularly with pymongo for application integration and data management.
• Strong background in designing and implementing automated testing frameworks to validate new features and bug fixes, including unit, integration, and end-to-end testing methodologies.
• Practical experience and understanding of Continuous Integration / Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines and tooling to ensure streamlined, reliable software delivery processes.
• Excellent communication skills, both oral and written, enabling effective collaboration with diverse stakeholders and clear documentation of technical specifications.
• Demonstrated ability to work autonomously, managing tasks and deadlines with minimal supervision while maintaining accountability and quality standards.
• Familiarity with software development lifecycle best practices, including version control with Git, peer reviews, and adherence to testing protocols.
• Additional experience with JAX-RS for RESTful web services development is an advantage, augmenting your software integration capabilities.

• Analyze business and technical requirements by collaborating with clients and internal stakeholders to convert them into practical, scalable software designs and solutions.
• Develop, test, and maintain robust software components and microservices using Python, ensuring alignment with defined requirements and quality standards.
• Conduct thorough root cause analysis for system issues and software defects to identify underlying problems and deliver effective resolutions promptly.
• Drive process improvements that enhance system reliability, performance, and availability, contributing to the overall stability and efficiency of software products.
• Design and automate comprehensive test cases and scenarios, including unit, integration, and system-level tests, to ensure software functionality and prevent regression.
• Maintain detailed documentation, including project specifications, coding standards, test plans, and progress reports, facilitating transparency and knowledge sharing within the team.
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams such as systems analysts, project managers, quality assurance, and operations to ensure successful software delivery and deployment.
• Ensure all developed code adheres to organizational standards and repository guidelines, including clear descriptions, version control practices, and adherence to pull request processes.
• Monitor and communicate daily project status updates, milestones achieved, and any risks or blockers to respective stakeholders to promote proactive issue resolution and alignment.
• Provide constructive feedback on usability and serviceability improvements, linking quality considerations with business impacts and escalating concerns when necessary.
