Job Description:
RTL Design & Verification/ Power Engineer
RTL Design & Verification Engineers with strong experience in power analysis, low-power verification, and power profiling. This position involves working on cutting-edge silicon and SoC development alongside a highly skilled engineering team.
Role Overview:
We are looking for an engineer with expertise in RTL design, verification, and power automation, who can support power consumption analysis and help develop runtime power models using ML techniques.
Key Responsibilities:
- Run power tests on RTL designs and verify expected behavior.
- Perform power profiling using tools such as PPRTL or PTPX, identifying power-intensive areas and optimization opportunities.
- Correlate hardware events/telemetry with power consumption profiles.
- Develop automation scripts using Python and/or TCL for data extraction, processing, and workflow efficiency.
- Analyze profiling data and present insights to the design team for power reduction.
- Collaborate with architects/designers to understand IP block power behavior and help build ML-based runtime power models.
Required Qualifications:
- Strong foundation in RTL design and verification.
- Proven experience with power profiling tools (PPRTL, PTPX).
- Proficiency in Python and/or TCL scripting.
- Ability to handle and analyze large datasets related to hardware design.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Exposure to machine learning models applied to hardware design optimization.
Mandatory Skills: VLSI HVL Verification .
Experience: 8-10 Years .
The expected compensation for this role ranges from $100,000 to $180,000 .
Final compensation will depend on various factors, including your geographical location, minimum wage obligations, skills, and relevant experience. Based on the position, the role is also eligible for Wipro's standard benefits including a full range of medical and dental benefits options, disability insurance, paid time off (inclusive of sick leave), other paid and unpaid leave options.
