Job Description:

Playwright Test Lead

Band - B3

Location - Bangalore , Chennai, Pune, Hyderabad

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable automation test frameworks using Selenium and Playwright for web applications.
  • Develop and execute automation scripts using JavaScript with Playwright, ensuring high test coverage and reliability.
  • Build reusable, maintainable, and efficient automation components aligned with best practices.
  • Perform functional, regression, and integration testing as part of CI/CD pipelines.
  • Collaborate closely with developers, QA, and product teams to understand requirements and define test strategies.
  • Analyze test results, identify root causes, and work with stakeholders to ensure timely defect resolution.
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies and contribute to continuous improvement of QA processes.


Required Skills & Experience

  • 7-8 years of experience in Test Automation using tools such as Selenium and/or Playwright.
  • Minimum 3 years of strong hands-on experience with Playwright.
  • 3 years of experience in Automation Script Development using JavaScript.
  • Strong hands-on experience with Java and solid understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOPs) concepts.
  • Experience in designing automation frameworks and test utilities from scratch.
  • Good understanding of test automation best practices, test lifecycle, and defect management.
  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
  • Familiarity with version control systems (Git) and CI/CD tools is a plus.
