- Shifts system 24/7
- Hybrid module of work from Gdańsk - 2 days from home and 3 days from the office
Role & Responsibilities:
- Install, configure, and administer Oracle databases across multiple versions on UNIX and Windows platforms
- Design, implement, and manage high-availability solutions (RAC/Cluster, Standby, Replication)
- Install, configure, and manage Oracle ASM instances and ASM disk groups
- Perform database creation, refresh, cloning, upgrade, migration, and installation activities
- Manage backup and recovery using multiple methods and approaches
- Handle database patch management (end-to-end process and hands-on execution)
- Support DR environments, including DR setup and DR drills
- Monitor and tune database performance; generate capacity and health reports
- Administer database security and auditing
- Perform day-to-day database housekeeping and maintenance tasks
- Troubleshoot database, cluster, ASM, and replication-related issues
- Handle OEM (vendor) coordination for critical service requests
- Prepare and maintain SOPs, operational runbooks, and change checklists
- Provide 24x7 on-call and production support
Required Qualifications and Skills:
- Demonstrated hands-on experience administering Oracle Databases across versions 10g, 11g, 12c, and 19c, including advanced knowledge of Cloud and Multitenant architectures (CDB/PDB).
- Strong proficiency in Oracle Database administration on UNIX and Windows platforms, with a solid understanding of system architecture and internals.
- Expert knowledge of RMAN for database backup, recovery, and disaster recovery strategies, including hands-on experience managing diverse recovery scenarios.
- Proven track record in managing database upgrades, refreshes, cloning procedures, migrations, and patch management across multiple environments.
- Extensive experience with Oracle Data Guard for disaster recovery and high availability, including setup and ongoing management.
- Technical expertise with Oracle Real Application Clusters (RAC) architecture and management to enable scalable and fault-tolerant database systems.
- Familiarity with GoldenGate replication technology and Oracle Exadata platforms is highly desirable, reflecting experience with cutting-edge Oracle products.
- Strong skills in object-level performance tuning and troubleshooting to resolve complex database performance issues efficiently.
- Experience with capacity planning, monitoring dashboards, generating health and performance reports, and proactive incident management.
- Proficiency in automation and shell scripting to streamline routine database administration tasks and reduce manual workload.
- Comfortable using Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM) and other monitoring tools for proactive database oversight and issue detection.
- Solid understanding of database security frameworks, audit administration, and compliance requirements to safeguard organizational data.
- Experience participating in disaster recovery environments including conducting DR drills, ensuring operational readiness in line with business continuity plans.
- Ability to support and contribute to 24x7 operational models with willingness to engage in on-call rotations and critical incident support.
