As part of a diverse, high-performing team committed to technical excellence, the Network Engineer plays a key role in delivering secure, reliable, and scalable digital products that support a more efficient and profitable airline. This role focuses on designing, implementing, optimizing, and maintaining enterprise network infrastructure across datacenter, cloud, and operational environments.

The Network Domain encompasses WAN, LAN, firewalls, load balancers (LTM/GTM), Akamai, and related technologies supporting secure and efficient data transmission across the organization.

Responsibilities:

Network Engineering & Implementation

  • Develop and engineer network configuration scripts with clear and complete change documentation.
  • Implement network changes during scheduled maintenance windows, including after-hours deployments.
  • Review engineering documentation from team members and provide technical feedback.
  • Create detailed physical and logical network designs that meet business and performance requirements.
  • Install, configure, and manage highly available datacenter and cloud network environments.
  • Execute EOSL projects for datacenter switches and firewalls.

Firewall & Security Management

  • Design, deploy, and maintain enterprise firewall infrastructure (Fortinet, Cisco, Palo Alto, Fortinet).
  • Monitor firewall health, performance, and policy configuration for security and stability.
  • Implement OT network segmentation and security best practices.
  • Manage VPN, IDS/IPS, micro-segmentation, and SD-WAN technologies.


Cloud Networking

  • Configure and manage Azure networking components: VNets, Load Balancers, ExpressRoute, VPN Gateway, NSGs, and more.
  • Support networking for AWS or other cloud platforms (Oracle, IBM).
  • Contribute to automation, orchestration, CI/CD, and cloud-native networking solutions.


Operational Support & Collaboration

  • Serve as second-tier escalation support for the network operations team.
  • Participate in the on-call rotation for critical network support.
  • Lead and manage small to medium internal network projects.
  • Establish processes for testing applications/devices prior to network deployment.
  • Translate business needs into actionable technical deliverables.
  • Provide guidance to associates on data, voice, and mobile network capabilities.
  • Act as an advocate between business stakeholders and IT.
  • Present innovative concepts and emerging technologies to enhance business processes.
  • Contribute to a positive, team-oriented culture by fostering collaboration and constructive communication.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field - or equivalent experience/training.
  • 3-5 years of experience in a technical professional environment.
  • 3-5 years of experience in network environments involving routing, switching, firewalls, VPN, IDS/IPS.
  • 2 years of experience with cloud networking (Azure preferred; AWS/Oracle/IBM accepted).
  • Senior-level experience with datacenter infrastructure solutions (Cisco routing & switching, Palo Alto firewalls, VPN).


Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in a related technical field.
  • Experience working in the airline industry.


Skills, Licenses & Certifications

  • CCNP (Security, Data Center, Routing & Switching), CCIE, PCNSE (Palo Alto)
  • Microsoft Azure Administrator or Azure Solutions Architect (preferred)
  • Strong ability to build relationships across IT, business teams, and external partners
  • Hands-on experience with:
    • Datacenter networking (Cisco Nexus, Palo Alto FW IDS/IPS, Zscaler VPN)
    • Cloud networking (Azure, AWS)
    • Firewall and intrusion systems
    • Micro-segmentation and SD-WAN
    • Automation, orchestration, CI/CD
  • Experience with Linux/Unix shell scripting
  • Proven ability to deploy, manage, and troubleshoot enterprise network solutions


Mandatory Skills: Network Data Admin .

Experience: 8-10 Years .

The expected compensation for this role ranges from $80,000 to $158,000 .

Final compensation will depend on various factors, including your geographical location, minimum wage obligations, skills, and relevant experience. Based on the position, the role is also eligible for Wipro's standard benefits including a full range of medical and dental benefits options, disability insurance, paid time off (inclusive of sick leave), other paid and unpaid leave options.
