Network Automation Engineer

You will bridge the gap between traditional Network Engineering and DevOps, leveraging tools like Ansible, Terraform, and Python to manage a global security estate. If you believe that "doing a task twice means it should be automated," this is the role for you.

Key Responsibilities

Automation & Orchestration

• Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Develop and maintain Terraform providers and Ansible playbooks to provision

• API Integration: Utilize XML and REST APIs to automate repetitive tasks like object creation, rule auditing, and certificate renewals.

• CI/CD Pipelines: Build and support GitLab/GitHub pipelines to validate, test, and deploy network changes automatically.

• Self-Service Portals: Develop scripts or tools that allow non-network teams to request and receive automated firewall policy updates safely.

• Panorama Automation: Automate the management of Device Groups and Templates via Panorama to ensure global consistency.

• Dynamic Security: Implement Dynamic Address Groups (DAGs) and tags to automate policy updates based on external threat feeds or cloud workload changes.

• Telemetric Monitoring: Build automated dashboards using Python or ELK stacks to visualize traffic patterns and firewall health.

Network Standardisation

• State Enforcement: Use automation to identify and remediate "configuration drift" where manual changes have bypassed standard templates.

• Testing & Validation: Implement automated "Pre-and-Post" change validation tests (using PyATS or Batfish) to ensure network reliability.

Qualifications

Required Technical Skills

• Deep knowledge of PAN-OS, Panorama, and GlobalProtect.

• Programming/Scripting: Proficiency in Python (specifically libraries like pan-os-python, Netmiko, or Requests).

• Automation Tools: Advanced experience with Ansible and Terraform.

• Version Control: Expertise in Git (branching, merging, pull requests).

• API Knowledge: Strong understanding of RESTful APIs, JSON, and XML.

Experience & Education

• 3 years in a Network/Security role with a heavy focus on automation.

• Experience managing firewalls in public cloud environments (AWS, Azure, or GCP).

• Familiarity with Linux environments and containerization (Docker/Kubernetes) is a major plus.

The expected compensation for this role ranges from $60,000 to $148,500 .

Final compensation will depend on various factors, including your geographical location, minimum wage obligations, skills, and relevant experience. Based on the position, the role is also eligible for Wipro's standard benefits including a full range of medical and dental benefits options, disability insurance, paid time off (inclusive of sick leave), other paid and unpaid leave options.
