We are seeking an experienced Mainframe Developer to design, develop, maintain, and support enterprise mainframe applications. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in COBOL and IBM z/OS environments and will work closely with business and technical teams to deliver reliable, high-performance systems.

Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and maintain mainframe applications
- Analyze business requirements and translate them into technical solutions
- Write and modify programs using COBOL, JCL, and DB2
- Perform batch and online processing (CICS)
- Debug and resolve production issues, including performance tuning
- Participate in code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards
- Support system upgrades, migrations, and enhancements
- Collaborate with QA, business analysts, and operations teams
- Prepare technical documentation and system specifications
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
- Strong experience with COBOL, JCL, DB2, and CICS
- Hands-on experience with IBM z/OS
- Knowledge of VSAM, IMS (optional but preferred)
- Familiarity with mainframe debugging and performance tuning tools
- Understanding of SDLC and agile/waterfall methodologies
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with mainframe modernization or migration projects
- Exposure to distributed systems or APIs
- Banking, insurance, or financial domain experience
- Knowledge of tools like Endevor, Changeman, File-Aid, Abend-Aid

Experience: 5-8 Years .
The expected compensation for this role ranges from $60,000 to $135,000 .
Final compensation will depend on various factors, including your geographical location, minimum wage obligations, skills, and relevant experience. Based on the position, the role is also eligible for Wipro's standard benefits including a full range of medical and dental benefits options, disability insurance, paid time off (inclusive of sick leave), other paid and unpaid leave options.
