Role Purpose

The purpose of this role is to provide significant technical expertise in architecture planning and design of the concerned tower (platform, database, middleware, backup etc) as well as managing its day-to-day operations

• Medium to large-scale Linux environments (1,000 servers).
• Enterprise IT infrastructure and cloud platforms (AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud Platform).
• 24x7 operational support with ITIL-aligned processes and SLA compliance.

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable infrastructure using Terraform for automated cloud and infrastructure provisioning.
• Develop and manage Ansible for configuration management and orchestration.
• Create, optimize, and maintain Ansible playbooks, roles, and ad-hoc automation scripts.
• Secure sensitive configuration data using Ansible Vault and manage static and dynamic inventories.

• Build, integrate, and maintain CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Azure DevOps (AzDo) and GitLab CI.
• Integrate Terraform and Ansible into automated deployment and release workflows.
• Utilize Git-based version control and collaborate within Agile/Scrum delivery models.

• Install, configure, administer, and tune Linux operating systems including RHEL, SUSE, and Oracle Enterprise Linux (OEL).
• Perform user and group management, service configuration, ACL changes, file system administration, and backup operations.
• Monitor system performance and security using enterprise tools such as Splunk.
• Design and execute disaster recovery (DR) planning and testing activities.
• Configure and manage Linux clustering and high-availability solutions using Pacemaker.
• Build and maintain standardized system images and infrastructure baselines.

• Advanced Linux system administration experience across RHEL, SUSE, and OEL platforms.
• Strong hands-on expertise with Terraform, including writing, testing, and deploying IaC scripts and managing state and modules.
• Proven experience with Ansible playbook development and automation of complex deployments.
• Proficiency in Unix/Linux shell scripting for automation and job control.
• Working knowledge of cloud platforms including AWS, Microsoft Azure, and Google Cloud Platform.
• Experience supporting enterprise environments with large server estates.
• Strong understanding of ITIL-aligned operational processes.

• Terraform and Ansible certifications.
• RHCE, RHCA, or equivalent Linux certifications.
• Experience working in large-scale DevOps or Infrastructure-as-Code transformation initiatives.
