Job Description:

• Lead the deployment, configuration, and operational management of the Splunk platform, including both Enterprise and Splunk Cloud environments, ensuring optimal performance across large-scale, distributed systems.
• Effectively demonstrate Splunk core capabilities and value propositions to prospective clients and internal stakeholders, fostering understanding and adoption of the platform's functionalities.
• Design, develop, and customize advanced Splunk applications, dashboards, and visualizations that provide actionable insights supporting business and operational objectives.
• Administer production Splunk systems, integrating multiple data inputs such as Metrics, Windows event sources, HTTP Event Collector (HEC), and other relevant inputs to maintain data integrity and accessibility.
• Lead platform migration and upgrade initiatives, meticulously planning and executing transitions to ensure minimal disruption and enhanced platform capabilities.
• Conduct thorough diagnostics and root cause analysis of complex incidents that impact specific applications or platform components, developing corrective action plans to prevent recurrence.
• Document all resolution processes comprehensively to support knowledge sharing, promote cross-functional training, and establish scalable best-practice frameworks within the team.
• Maintain expert-level proficiency in Splunk deployment, administration, and development activities, continuously updating skills in line with evolving technologies and methodologies.
• Oversee day-to-day operational support activities, including user assistance, data onboarding, and the execution of new projects that enhance platform capabilities and user experiences.
• Integrate Splunk with enterprise tools such as JIRA, ServiceNow, Jenkins, and AWS services using third-party applications, ensuring seamless workflows and consolidated monitoring across platforms.
• Drive performance tuning and optimization of existing dashboards, reports, and alerts to ensure responsiveness and relevance for end-users.
• Demonstrate hands-on expertise with Splunk Machine Learning Toolkit (MLTK), DB Connect apps, and scripting languages such as Python and Shell to automate and extend platform functionality.
• Show a strong understanding of AWS cloud platforms and services, supporting hybrid or cloud-native deployment models and integrations.
• Hold a recognized Splunk Professional certification.
