Mainframe DB2 Admin

Required Skills

• Strong hands-on experience with IBM DB2 (z/OS ), utilities, tuning, backup/recovery, and excellent troubleshooting.
• Deep understanding of database security, roles, privileges, authentication, and auditing.
• Ability to diagnose and resolve complex performance issues using EXPLAIN plans, catalog analysis, and monitoring tools like MainView and Query Monitor.
• Expertise in database design, schema modeling, normalization, and capacity planning.
• Experience supporting highly available transactional systems in an enterprise-grade environment (preferably payments or financial tech).
• Ability to work independently and advise team members as and when needed
• Strong verbal and written communication

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in managing very large tables in Db2.
• Experience with IBM's Q-Replication (e.g., Db2z <-> Db2z).
• Experience with Data Sharing and Sysplex environment.
• Experience with Db2 Connect

Mandatory Skills: Mainframe DB2 Admin .

Experience: 5-8 Years .

The expected compensation for this role ranges from $60,000 to $135,000 .

Final compensation will depend on various factors, including your geographical location, minimum wage obligations, skills, and relevant experience. Based on the position, the role is also eligible for Wipro's standard benefits including a full range of medical and dental benefits options, disability insurance, paid time off (inclusive of sick leave), other paid and unpaid leave options.
