Role Focus:

  • Automating repetitive IT, infrastructure, or business processes
  • Improving efficiency and reducing manual intervention
  • Focus on IT operations, QA/testing, or business workflow automation
  • Strong understanding of enterprise environments, controls, and compliance requirements
  • Ability to manage work and deliverables independently

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop, test, and maintain automation scripts and tools (e.g., Python, PowerShell, Shell)
  • Automate manual processes (e.g., server provisioning, patching, software deployment, testing)
  • Integrate automation with existing systems, APIs, and tools
  • Develop and maintain automation for RedHat OpenShift environments
  • Document automation workflows, best practices, and user guides
  • Identify automation opportunities by collaborating with stakeholders
  • Ensure automation solutions are robust, scalable, and maintainable
  • May develop test automation frameworks (Selenium, PyTest, Robot Framework)
  • Monitor and troubleshoot automated jobs and workflows
  • Utilize Jira and Confluence for work tracking and documentation

Core Skills Required:
  • Scripting/Programming: Python, PowerShell, Shell, JavaScript (for some tools)
  • Automation Tools: Ansible, Jenkins (for job automation)
  • Containerization & Orchestration: RedHat OpenShift (required), Docker, Kubernetes (preferred)
  • API Integration: REST API consumption and automation
  • IT Operations/QA: Understanding of system administration or testing processes
  • Version Control: Git, SVN
  • Documentation: Process mapping, workflow documentation
  • Problem-Solving: Analytical thinking, debugging automation failures
  • Collaboration: Working with IT, QA, or business teams to identify automation needs
  • Familiarity with Jira and Confluence

Preferred Skills:
  • Experience with ArgoCD for GitOps-based deployment and application management
