Role: Data Scientist / Data Analytics
Location: Orance, CT (Hybrid - 3 Days onsite/week)

Job Description:
Looking for a Data Scientist / Data Analytics professional, with strong emphasis on storytelling, business insights, stakeholder engagement, reporting and Azure platform skillset

Key Responsibilities
Business Insight & Storytelling
• Translate complex datasets into actionable business insights aligned to organizational goals
• Develop data narratives, dashboards, and presentations that clearly communicate trends, risks, and opportunities to senior leadership
• Apply storytelling techniques to explain why insights matter, not just what the data shows
• Support strategic decision making through scenario analysis, trend forecasting, and root cause analysis

Stakeholder Engagement & Consulting
• Partner with business stakeholders, product owners, and leadership to understand requirements and define analytics use cases
• Facilitate discussions to recommend data driven solutions, KPIs, and measurement frameworks
• Act as a trusted advisor to stakeholders by translating business problems into analytical approaches
• Collaborate with cross functional teams (Data Engineering, BI, Cloud, IT) to ensure end to end delivery

Data Analysis & Reporting
• Perform advanced data analysis using SQL and analytical techniques on large, complex datasets
• Design and maintain enterprise grade reports and dashboards for operational and executive audiences
• Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and interpretability across reports

Azure Analytics & Data Platforms
• Leverage Azure Synapse Analytics for data exploration, analytics, and reporting workloads
• Work with data stored in Azure Data Lake / SQL Pools / Dedicated & Serverless SQL
• Optimize SQL queries and data models for performance and scalability
• Collaborate with data engineers on ingestion, transformation, and analytics ready data models

Required Skills & Experience
Core Experience
• 10 years of experience in Data Science / Data Analytics / Business Analytics
• Strong experience deriving business insights from structured and semi structured data
• Proven ability to influence decisions through data storytelling and stakeholder communication
Technical Skills
• Advanced SQL (query optimization, complex joins, window functions, performance tuning)
• Strong hands on experience with Azure Synapse Analytics
• Experience with Azure Data Lake, SQL databases, and cloud based analytics architectures
• Proficiency in reporting and visualization tools (e.g., Power BI or similar)
• Working knowledge of Python or similar languages for analysis and automation (preferred)
Analytical & Business Skills
• Strong understanding of KPIs, metrics design, and analytical frameworks
• Ability to connect analytical findings to business outcomes and strategy
• Experience working in large, enterprise data environments
• Excellent problem solving and structured thinking skills
Communication & Leadership
• Exceptional verbal, written, and presentation skills
• Ability to communicate technical concepts to non technical audiences
• Experience leading discussions, workshops, and reviews with senior stakeholders
• Mentoring and guiding junior team members

Mandatory Skills: Data Analysis .

Experience: 8-10 Years .

The expected compensation for this role ranges from $80,000 to $158,000 .

Final compensation will depend on various factors, including your geographical location, minimum wage obligations, skills, and relevant experience. Based on the position, the role is also eligible for Wipro's standard benefits including a full range of medical and dental benefits options, disability insurance, paid time off (inclusive of sick leave), other paid and unpaid leave options.
