Role Purpose

We are looking for a highly skilled Data Engineer with strong hands-on experience in Data Build Tool (DBT) and Snowflake, along with working knowledge of Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and basic Python scripting. This role is responsible for building modern ELT pipelines, developing robust data models, and ensuring scalable, high-quality data solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain dbt models, tests, documentation, and modular transformation frameworks.
• Build scalable ELT pipelines using dbt and Snowflake.
• Create efficient and optimized SQL transformations using Snowflake best practices.
• Manage Snowflake components:
• Warehouses, schemas, roles, RBAC
• Stages, Snowpipe, ingestion patterns
• Performance tuning and cost optimization
• Work with GCP services such as Cloud Storage, BigQuery (optional), Cloud Composer (Airflow), or Pub/Sub as needed.
• Write Python scripts for automation, validation, and data processing tasks.
• Ensure data quality, lineage, and governance using dbt tests and documentation.
• Collaborate with analysts, product teams, and business stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver data solutions.
• Troubleshoot pipeline issues and support production processes.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 3-6 years of experience in Data Engineering or related role.
• Strong hands-on experience with dbt Core or dbt Cloud.
• Excellent SQL skills with experience building complex transformations.
• Strong knowledge of Snowflake architecture and features.
• Experience working within the GCP data ecosystem.
• Working experience with Python for scripting and automation.
• Familiarity with Git-based workflows and CI/CD pipelines.
• Understanding of ELT concepts and modern data engineering patterns.

Nice to Have

• Experience with Airflow / Cloud Composer.
• Working knowledge of data observability frameworks (Great Expectations, Monte Carlo).
• Experience with Terraform or Infrastructure-as-Code.
• Exposure to BI tools like Looker, Power BI, or Tableau.

• Attention to detail and commitment to data quality.

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
