Location: Mount Laurel, NJ (Hybrid - 3 Days Onsite/week)
Job Description:
We are seeking a highly accomplished Enterprise Data Architect to define and govern the enterprise-wide data vision, strategy, and architecture across complex, large-scale organizations.
This role owns data architecture at a strategic level, influencing business transformation, regulatory compliance, analytics, AI/ML enablement, and cloud modernization. The architect will act as a trusted advisor to CXOs, delivery leaders, and client stakeholders, ensuring that data platforms are scalable, secure, cost-effective, and future-ready.

Key Responsibilities
Enterprise Data Strategy & Vision
Define and own the enterprise data architecture roadmap aligned to business strategy
Establish data platform standards, principles, and reference architectures
Drive modernization from legacy data ecosystems to cloud-native architectures
Influence enterprise decisions related to analytics, AI/ML, and data monetization
Architecture Governance & Design Authority
Act as Design Authority for all major data initiatives
Review and approve solution architectures, technology selections, and integration patterns
Ensure alignment with security, risk, regulatory, and compliance requirements
Govern architecture consistency across programs, portfolios, and vendors
Data Platforms & Technology Leadership
Provide strategic oversight of:
Enterprise Data Warehouses & Data Lakes
Cloud Data Platforms (Azure preferred)
Streaming & real-time data architectures
Define best practices for data modeling, integration, performance, and scalability
Guide adoption of Databricks, ADF, Synapse, ADLS or equivalent platforms
Data Governance, Security & Compliance
Define enterprise-wide data governance frameworks
Ensure compliance with regulatory, privacy, and audit requirements
Establish standards for:
Data quality
Metadata & lineage
Access control & security
Partner with Risk, Compliance, and Security teams to ensure data trust and integrity
Stakeholder & Executive Engagement
Serve as strategic advisor to CXOs, Business Heads, and Client Leadership
Translate business vision into data-driven operating models
Lead architecture discussions in steering committees and executive forums
Influence funding, prioritization, and transformation decisions
Leadership, Mentoring & Thought Leadership
Mentor senior architects, data engineering leaders, and technical SMEs
Shape Centers of Excellence (COEs) for data and analytics
Drive enterprise adoption of best practices and emerging technologies
Represent the organization in client architecture reviews and solution.
Good to Have
Experience supporting AI/ML, advanced analytics, and data science platforms
Exposure to multi-cloud or hybrid architectures
Published thought leadership, architecture frameworks, or patents
Cloud / Architecture certifications
Education
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent
Executive or advanced architecture certifications preferred
Mandatory Skills: DataBricks - Data Engineering .
Experience: >10 YEARS .
The expected compensation for this role ranges from $100,000 to $185,000 .
Final compensation will depend on various factors, including your geographical location, minimum wage obligations, skills, and relevant experience. Based on the position, the role is also eligible for Wipro's standard benefits including a full range of medical and dental benefits options, disability insurance, paid time off (inclusive of sick leave), other paid and unpaid leave options.
