Role Purpose
The purpose of this role is to design and develop the user interface of a product/ application as per the customer’s/ business requirement
Do
- Design and Development of UI for a Product/Application
- Collaborate with Business Analyst & Product Manager for a better understanding of functional requirements, analysis, design document
- Understand the requirements from UX Designer and use agile methodology to create static designs and interactive prototypes
- Implement features and create presentation layer in accordance with business requirements and UX specifications
- Develop working prototypes from UI designs for cross-platform devices and ensure cross-browser compatibility
- Develop and maintain new and existing product's screens by utilizing different technologies in creating component based responsive design
- Ensure heavy use of Chrome Developer Tools Firebug to ensure front-end code and assets were optimized and of high-quality
- Ensure usage of color and font represent integrated brand perception and user experience
- Collaborate with other user experience designers, UI software engineers and graphic designers to ensure a consistent and integrated user experience
- Actively participate in design and code review to ensure that overall application is robust, bug-free and easy to maintain
- Competency Building
- Integrate best practices through competency development, multiskilling and by doing mandatory training compliance
- Participating in continuing education and training to remain current on best practices, learn new programming languages, and better assist other team members.
- Enable team member's knowledge sharing across teams and best practices
