Senior Blockchain Developer - Canton / DAML

Role Overview

We are hiring a Senior Blockchain Developer (Canton/DAML) to build institutional-grade, privacy-preserving distributed ledger solutions for capital markets. You will design and deliver multi-party financial workflows on the Canton Network, integrating DAML smart contracts with existing enterprise systems and market infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement DAML smart contracts modeling real-world financial agreements (e.g., repo, collateral, asset servicing) with strong authorization, auditability, and correctness.
• Build Canton-based applications, leveraging participant nodes, parties, domains/synchronizers, and Canton's privacy model.
• Develop secure, tamper-resistant ledger workflows supporting resiliency and regulatory requirements.
• Build and integrate APIs and services (REST/gRPC) around DAML Ledger APIs and microservices.
• Implement privacy, access controls, and security using signatories/observers, data minimization, and secure engineering practices.
• Deliver end-to-end deployments across dev/test/prod using CI/CD, containerization, and configuration management.

• Required Qualifications
  
  • 5 years of backend or distributed systems development in enterprise environments.
  • Hands-on experience with DAML (templates, choices, parties, contract lifecycle, testing).
  • Experience with Canton (participant nodes, topology, privacy model) or strong DAML-based DLT background with ability to ramp up quickly.
  • Proficiency in TypeScript/NodeJS, Java, Scala, or Python with solid computer science fundamentals.
  • Experience building APIs and integrations (REST, gRPC, event-driven patterns) and working with relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL).
  • Experience with Docker and modern DevOps practices (CI/CD, logging, monitoring).

• 5 years in software development, 3 years in blockchain (Ethereum, EVM, or Cosmos).
• Strong proficiency in Solidity and/or Rust; experience with Hardhat/Foundry or Anchor.
• Deep understanding of token standards (ERC-20, ERC-4626) and upgradeable contracts.
• Trading & DeFi Knowledge:
• Experience with DEX protocols, liquidity pools, and smart order routing.
• Security:
• Familiarity with reentrancy, overflow/underflow, access control, and formal verification tools.
• Other:
• Knowledge of oracles, MPC wallets, and custody solutions.
• Exposure to compliance frameworks (MiCA, FATF) is a plus.
