Business Analyst: BA

BA Skills, Knowledge and Experience: 10 years as a business analyst

1. Proficiency in eliciting, documenting, and managing business requirements throughout the project lifecycle. Use of tools including e.g. Jira, Excel and Confluence to maintain end-to-end traceability. Ensure that Acceptance Criteria are captured and that Test Scenarios accurately reflect business need.
2. Skills in analysing business data associated with changes and representing this data using appropriate models, flows, and glossaries. Familiarity with data visualisation tools.
3. Understanding of UK Financial Services and Banking Practice, and the regulatory environment in which Aldermore operates. Ability to utilise domain knowledge within projects, both to enable the business objectives and requirements to be clearly articulated to project stakeholders, and to challenge stakeholders where appropriate to ensure consistency and clarity of project objectives and scope aligned to strategic outcomes.
4. Ability to assess the business impact of the solution from a variety of perspectives, and to articulate the business changes required in order to absorb the solution, including updates to process documentation, training and knowledge documentation, customer communications and third party management
5. Ability to innovate and adapt the BA approach and techniques to meet the demands of different projects.

Soft Skills Required

• Excellent relationship-building skills with technical and business stakeholders. .
• Ability to work with complex, conflicting and ambiguous requirements and expectations of stakeholders and negotiate an agreed position
• Structured, analytical thinker, able to communicate complex technical concepts via clear, business-friendly languag
• Confidence facilitating workshops, refining requirements, and driving clarity.
