Type of contract: Contract of Employment

Working hours: Regular working hours, from 9am till 5pm CET, from monday till friday

Location and Work Mode: Gdansk or Warsaw, hybrid module of work 2/3 days from the office.

We are seeking an experienced Automation Lead to spearhead a strategic automation initiative aimed at streamlining IT operations across multiple domains. The ideal candidate will design, develop, and implement automation solutions using Ansible playbooks, while managing a team and ensuring smooth project delivery in collaboration with the PMO and stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

    • Define and drive the automation roadmap for IT operations, covering OS, database, middleware, and network components.
    • Design, develop, and maintain Ansible playbooks for automating operational tasks.
    • Prepare and maintain comprehensive project documentation, including technical designs, progress reports, and status updates.
    • Ensure dependencies and prerequisites are identified and met on time.
    • Manage and mentor a team of developers, ensuring quality deliverables and adherence to timelines.
    • Allocate tasks, monitor progress, and resolve technical challenges.
    • Act as the primary liaison between the project team and the Project Management Office (PMO).
    • Communicate project status, risks, and issues to PMO and stakeholders regularly.
    • Coordinate with PMO to resolve problems that arise during project delivery.
    • Provide timely and accurate reporting on project milestones, risks, and resource utilization.
    • Ensure compliance with organizational standards and governance frameworks.


Required Skills & Qualifications
  • 5-8 years in IT operations with at least 3-4 years in automation using Ansible.
    • Strong knowledge of Ansible and YAML scripting.
    • Hands-on experience with OS (Linux/Windows), databases (Oracle, MySQL, etc.), middleware (WebLogic, Tomcat), and networking fundamentals.
    • Proven experience in managing teams and delivering projects within scope, time, and budget.
    • Familiarity with PMO processes and governance.
  • Scripting Skills: Proficiency in Python, Shell, or PowerShell for custom automation tasks.
  • Soft Skills: Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with IT orchestration tools and configuration management.
  • Exposure to DevOps practices and Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
  • Certifications in Ansible, Linux, or project management (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2).
