About this role:
This role supports the Technology Chief Risk Office and reports directly to the Head of International Technology Risk. The position is responsible for driving oversight of technology risk management capabilities, including governance, risk assessment, and portfolio performance. Key responsibilities include managing global integration and alignment of technology risk practices across APAC and EMEA regions, leveraging data analytics and reporting to provide actionable insights, and ensuring effective communication and knowledge management. The ideal candidate brings expertise in risk frameworks, program governance, and advanced analytics, along with experience coordinating international risk programs to maintain consistency and compliance across regions.
In this role you will:
- Technology Oversight Capabilities Management: Lead and manage the design, build, implementation and maintenance of second line oversight tools and capabilities which support Technology Risk monitoring, engagement, and reporting.
- Risk Assessment and Business Impact Analysis: Support the identification and prioritization of critical Technology Risk Management functions and interdependencies through business impact analysis and risk assessments.
- Program and Project Governance: Support implementation, oversee and manage Technology Risk programs and projects, ensuring alignment with business priorities, effective execution, and adherence to governance frameworks.
- Portfolio and Service Management Oversight: Drive and oversee the prioritization, performance, and reporting of Technology Risk Management book of work for leadership and stakeholders.
- Data Analytics and Reporting: Leverage advanced data analytics to identify trends, generate actionable insights, and produce executive-level dashboards and reports that enhance technology risk oversight and decision-making.
- International / Legal Entity Risk Integration: Oversee the integration, coordination, and alignment of international technology risk management activities across APAC and EMEA regions to ensure global consistency and compliance with Technology, Cybersecurity, and Data Risk standards.
- Communication and Knowledge Management: Ensure effective communication of technology priorities and the capture and dissemination of institutional knowledge to support informed decision-making.
- 7+ years of Operational Risk experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education.
- Deep understanding of risk and control frameworks and environments, risk management principles, and control assessment methodologies.
- Expertise in program and project management governance, including portfolio oversight and performance measurement.
- Familiarity with financial management, budgeting, and cost optimization strategies.
- Proficiency in data analytics and visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, SQL) with the ability to design and interpret complex reports, dashboards, and metrics to support risk management and governance.
- Experience managing global technology risk programs, including coordinating cross-regional efforts (APAC, EMEA) and aligning international risk practices with enterprise governance frameworks.
- Proven ability to assess and challenge risk and control environments across a broad range of technology domains.
- Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills, with experience influencing senior executives and regulators.
- Experience in a second line of defense or independent risk oversight function is highly desirable.
- Experience managing global technology risk programs, including coordinating cross-regional efforts (APAC, EMEA) and aligning international risk practices with enterprise governance frameworks (desired, not required).
