Secured Financing Trading Associate
About this role:
Wells Fargo's Global Secured Trading (GST) provides Client financing solutions, Secured funding and Collateral optimization to Clients of the Markets Division and across Corporate and Investment Banking. Products include Repos, Total return swaps and Collateral transformation. GST has offices in Charlotte, Dublin, London and Hong Kong. GST is seeking a Securities Trading Associate whose key responsibility will be to substantially cover all aspects of Secured Financing Trading. This activity includes trade execution, trade management, risk management, client-facing intermediation, onboarding, systems/data analytics, MI/reporting automation, reconciliation with both internal and external counterparts.
In this role, you will:
- Effectively market make & manage Secured Financing transactions and other STIR Instruments
- Successfully monitor the flow of trades including preparing write ups, reviewing, and confirming required documentation
- Ensure transactions are booked accurately and within the various trading Limits. Actively keep track of credit risk exposures
- Create and maintain relationships with clients and trading counterparts along with multiple Wells Fargo internal support partners (Legal, Market Risk, Operations, Finance, Counterparty Credit Risk, Compliance, etc.)
- Set new workflows & best practices
- Contribute to growing the APAC franchise across the Markets Products suite
- 2+ years of Securities Trading experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
- 5+ years of Securities Trading experience
- Experience developing and managing client relationships
- Knowledge and understanding of risk management
- Effective organizational, multi-tasking, and prioritizing skills
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
- Solid problem solving and decision-making skills
- Strong technical and analytical skills including financial analysis
- Results driven & entrepreneurial
- Candidate should possess and display strong customer focus and client service skills
- Candidate needs to be organized, affable, and able to work in a collegial, team-oriented environment
- Front Office-related coding skills
- The candidate will be expected to attain and hold any relevant licensing qualifications as required to perform the role
