Executive Director Treasury Product Owner and Data Strategy
About this role:
Wells Fargo's Corporate Treasury Transformation Office is seeking a highly motivated individual with financial services product owner and data analyst skills to play a pivotal role in shaping data-driven solutions that power critical financial operations for Corporate Treasury.
The Treasury Transformation Office empowers the Treasury business functions by providing data and analytical solutions through optimized workflows that enable better data-driven decision-making.
This role will combine analytical expertise with technical innovation to design and deliver solutions that enhance reporting accuracy, streamline processes, and drive automation. They will collaborate across business and technology teams, influence delivery, and ensure data integrity while translating complex insights into actionable strategies.
Treasury at Wells Fargo is a dynamic team that is responsible for managing Wells Fargo's balance sheet including capital, liquidity, funding, and interest rate risk management. Treasury seeks to ensure Wells Fargo always maintains sufficient capital and liquidity resources to support growth in the Company's businesses, while also ensuring a satisfactory financial cushion exists to protect against unforeseen stresses in the economic environment or the Company's operations. Treasury also provides regulators, senior leaders, and the Board of Directors with key information to support risk management, financial performance management, and strategic planning.

In this role, you will:
- Lead Agile Delivery: Guide technology teams through agile methodologies to deliver high-quality solutions on time.
- Design Solutions: Develop technical solutions to address complex business challenges and optimize processes.
- Manage Backlog: Maintain a robust backlog of agile features aligned with key strategic initiatives.
- Collaborate Across Teams: Work closely with peers, data providers, and managers to resolve issues, achieve goals, and ensure seamless execution.
- Communicate Effectively: Translate technical findings into clear, actionable insights for non-technical stakeholders. Provide management with regular updates on progress and escalate risks timely
- Exercise Independent Judgment: Operate with guidance from leadership while applying sound reasoning and problem-solving skills to meet compliance and policy requirements.
- Analyze and Validate Data: Perform data analysis and testing for treasury management processes and regulatory reporting inputs to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Provide Training and Support: Offer guidance and training to L1 product owners
- 7+ years of Treasury experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
- Knowledge of financial institution balance sheet fundamentals, product offerings, and balance sheet management practices
- 7+ years of financial products experience in one or more of the Balance Sheet products
- 5+ years of SQL experience (data transformation, analytics, large relational databases)
- 5+ years of technical solution design to business problems
- Strong technology aptitude and ability to provide credible challenge to technology partners
- Ability to build strong partnerships across internal teams and stakeholders in a highly matrixed environment, fostering alignment and driving consensus on data-driven strategies
- 3+ years of experience with data analysis tools and environments (e.g., Dremio, Python, S3 data storage, SAS)
- Advanced written and verbal communication skills
- Experience presenting to senior leaders
- This position offers a hybrid schedule from our Charlotte uptown office
- This position is not eligible for Visa sponsorship
