Enterprise Risk Senior Manager - MRM Model Governance- Models, AI & EUCT
About this role:
The Model Risk Management (MRM) Governance team at Wells Fargo is seeking an Enterprise Risk Senior Manager (Executive Director) to play a critical role in providing support to the Model Risk Management (MRM) - Model Governance team, defining and leading key governance deliverables for model risk, end-user computing tools (EUCT) risk and AI risk.
The Enterprise Risk Senior Manager should be recognized as a thought leader who takes initiative to achieve team goals and seeks opportunities to improve and enhance processes. The individual should be an influencer with experience with enterprise-wide programs and initiatives and leading enterprise governance committees and forums. The position requires a natural leader with abilities to influence internal partners, senior management, peers, and junior members of the team. Model risk, EUCT, and AI risk management is an area of expanding focus and scrutiny, requiring a vision for future expectations around risk management and an appetite for a constantly evolving process. This position will influence many stakeholders across the bank.

In this role, you will:
Lead and Develop a Governance Team
- Manage and mentor a team responsible for Front-Line Governance across Model, EUCT, and AI Risk.
- Foster strong communication, collaboration, and a culture of continuous improvement.
- Set clear goals, provide regular feedback, and support professional growth.
- Lead business-line specialists and guide implementation of Model, EUCT, and AI risk policies.
- Translate policy requirements into practical procedures, training, and job aids.
- Educate partners, monitor compliance, and provide effective oversight and challenge.
- Identify and escalate issues, policy violations, and corrective actions.
- Analyze data to assess risks, identify trends, and support decision-making.
- Align governance activities with enterprise risk programs.
- Build strong partnerships with Model, EUCT, and AI governance teams and program stakeholders.
- Collaborate with oversight partners on independent risk reviews.
- Deliver clear, executive-ready communications to leaders and risk stakeholders.
- Consolidate and report risk insights, highlighting areas of non-compliance and emerging concerns.

- 6+ years of experience in Risk Management (Compliance, Financial Crimes, Operational Risk, Audit, Legal, Credit Risk, Market Risk, IT Systems Security, Business Process Management) or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
- 3+ years of management or leadership experience
- Experience in Model Risk, EUCT Risk, or AI Governance (first or second line), and/or Operational Risk governance.
- Bachelor's degree (BS/BA) or higher.
- Ability to synthesize complex information into clear, actionable leadership reporting, including risks of non-compliance.
- Strong communication and presentation skills with the ability to clearly articulate risks, issues, and recommendations to stakeholders at all levels.
- Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent organizational, multi-tasking, prioritization, collaboration, and partnering abilities.
- Proven ability to make sound, timely decisions in a fast-paced, results-driven environment.
- Ability to travel up to 15% of the time.
- This position offers a hybrid work schedule.
- Willingness to work onsite at stated location on the job posting.

Reflected is the base pay range offered for this position. Pay may vary depending on factors including but not limited to achievements, skills, experience, or work location. The range listed is just one component of the compensation package offered to candidates.
$159,000.00 - $279,000.00
