Sr System Account Manager

As Account Manager, you are an ambassador of Waters and will bring to the market Waters' products and services. You will demonstrate a clear grasp of understanding the customers' business and its growth plans, as well as be able to take the knowledge and convert that into a solution and offering from Waters, with a primary aim of bringing "customer success". This position brings you a great degree of flexibility working in the field. Your role will be designated to either a territory and/or markets.
Responsibilities
• Nurturing and developing existing customers with the objective of growing repeat business
• Prospecting for new customers and finding new accounts and contacts to expand growth
• Plan and execute business development plans to guarantee a healthy funnel creation
• Achieve and exceed business goals for the assigned territory
• Planning, and executing the customer demonstrations with collaboration of the demo lab specialists.
• Collaborating, liaising and providing guidance and support across departments to ensure customer success. You will be working closely with all other groups at Waters (e.g. Applications Support, Marketing, Service, Order Operations);
• Preparing business plans, territory plans, reports, tender documents and relevant product solution documents for customers.
• Planning and prioritising time and sales activities to maximise face to face time in front of customer.

• Managing the product mix and pricing to meet desired targets.
• Adhering to Waters and customers relevant Health, Safety and Environment requirements when on site and as an individual employee.
• Using and updating the CRM on a daily basis to ensure accurate and transparent data sharing.
• Participating in additional Sales related projects and activities as designated by management.
• Responsible for ensuring Quality Management System by all corrective and preventive actions as well as reporting to the management team real and potential nonconformities for appropriate actions.
Qualifications
Education:
- Bachelors Degree, Masters, or PhD in scientific area such as chemistry, biology, or biochemistry
Experience:
- Knowledge of Liquid Chromatography and Sample Preparation;
- 5+ years sales experience in analytical instrumentation
- Exposure within a HPLC/Mass Spectrometry laboratory. Method development preferred;
Skills:
- Action oriented and eager to achieve resultsStrong technical background in analytical technologies, especially LC and MAction oriented and eager to achieve results
- Sound communication and presentation skills
- Highly organized / well-prepared / time management skills
- Strong interpersonal skills and a good listener
- Matured disposition, positive attitude and strong sense of commitment
- Strong technical background in analytical technologies, especially LC and MS
Travel:
- This is a territory-based position with travelling within your designated territory, and occasional travels to other countries for activities such as governance of department, local business support, meetings and training.
