Responsibilities

  • Foster a culture of technical excellence, continuous improvement, and innovation.
  • Provide thought leadership on emerging technologies and trends in digital experience platforms.
  • Develop strong partnerships with stakeholders across business and IT, offering strategic guidance on leveraging AEM and related technologies.
  • Attract, retain, and develop top technical talent with deep expertise in AEM and digital experience engineering.
  • Provide coaching and mentorship to engineers, promoting growth in architectural thinking, debugging, and performance tuning.
  • Serve as the technical authority for AEM architecture, infrastructure, and development practices across on-prem, cloud, and Edge environments.
  • Assess solution designs, recommend scalable coding approaches, and lead code reviews to ensure high-quality engineering standards.
  • Triage and debug complex issues across the full AEM stack, including integrations, infrastructure, and front-end delivery.
  • Maintain expert-level knowledge of AEM deployment models (on-prem, cloud, Edge), including dispatcher configurations, CDN strategies, and performance optimization.
  • Own the delivery of software and technologies for customer experience solutions supporting Waters.com, microsites, and marketing automation.
  • Lead the AEM engineering squad in delivering multi-year, multi-phase programs with a focus on technical excellence and architectural integrity.

Qualifications

  • 10+ years in software engineering management within a digital or eCommerce environment.
  • 5+ years leading Adobe AEM development teams with hands-on experience in both on-prem and cloud implementations.
  • Deep understanding of AEM architecture, including dispatcher, replication agents, workflows, and Sling models.
  • Experience with AEM Cloud and Edge Delivery Services and performance optimization strategies.
  • Strong back-end development skills in Java/J2EE and front-end technologies (React, HTML, CSS).
  • Proven experience in agile/scrum environments, including project planning, staffing, and estimation.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders.
  • Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills across distributed systems and cloud environments.
