Senior Financial Analyst

Overview
As a Senior Financial Analyst for the European Distribution Centre (EDC) in Oud Gastel, you will play a key role in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of financial operations. You will collaborate closely with accounting assistants and business leaders to deliver insightful analysis, maintain compliance, and drive continuous improvement across finance processes.
Responsibilities
- Oversee and ensure accurate execution of EDC's financial processes in collaboration with two accounting assistants; this includes the monthly close and forecasting cycles, including journal entries, inventory and capital accounting, reconciliations, and accruals.
- Develop and manage the Annual Operating Plan for the EDC, including year-over-year analysis.
- Prepare annual and fiscal reports, support audits, and handle quarterly tax packages, declarations, payments, and true-ups.
- Analyse monthly management reports and provide actionable business insights.
- Recalculate duties annually, support salary administration and serve as financial advisor to the Senior Manager, Distribution & Logistics EU.
- Deliver ad-hoc financial analysis to support strategic decisions.
- Document and improve financial processes and work instructions.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting, or equivalent experience
- Minimum 5 years of progressive experience in Finance/Accounting
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Experience with SAP S/4HANA highly preferred
- Ability to translate financial data into business insights
- Meticulous and detailed
- Self-starter with strong prioritization skills
