Overview

Waters Germany are looking for a Senior Financial Accountant to join the team! This role can be based at our Dernbach or Eschborn offices.

As Senior Financial Accountant, you will serve as a trusted Business Partner to our business management team to increase efficiency and to encourage high performance culture. Our Finance team is a professional, yet comfortable group to work in. You will utilise your expertise in strategic projects and execute them with the support from the team. Responsibilities

  • Ensure that all US GAAP and Statutory accounting operations are compliant, efficient and diligent in all transactions and reporting.
  • For all WYATT entities in Europe: Responsible for timely and accurate month end close, including reconciliation of ending balances and reporting to parent group.
  • On time statutory filling, accurate TAX & VAT return, other local taxes and statutory reporting requirements of the German legal entity.
  • Responsible for meeting all financial compliance requirements, including internal controls (SOX), internal and external audits.
  • Drive and support integration with Waters processes.
  • Assisting in any ad hoc duties assigned.

Qualifications

Responsibilities, not limited to:

  • US GAAP and Statutory accounting operations are compliant, efficient and diligent in all transactions and reporting.
  • Responsible for timely and accurate month end close, including reconciliation of ending balances and reporting to parent group.
  • On time statutory filling, accurate TAX & VAT return, other local taxes and statutory reporting requirements of the German legal entity.
  • Meeting all financial compliance requirements, including internal controls (SOX), internal and external audits.
  • Drive and support integration with Waters processes.

To be successful in this role, you will:

  • Hold a university degree in Accounting or Business Studies or equivalent; additional Accounting or Tax qualification would be advantageous
  • Professional experience in a BIG 10 Audit Firm or equivalent role
  • Strong knowledge of US GAAP, German GAAP & TAX rules, demonstrated both in theory and practice.
  • International and diverse environment experience
  • Working in matrix organization with internal controls
  • MS Office Package, excellent Excel skills
  • Navision, SAP and Blackline experience would be advantageous

Travel:

  • A valid passport will be required;
  • This position requires occasional travel within Germany or to other countries for activities such as meetings and training.
