Senior Director, Global Service Growth

Overview

The Senior Director of Service Growth will be the strategic architect behind the service transformation supporting lab automation, microbiology, molecular diagnostics, liquid chromatography & mass spectrometry solutions for the Waters Advanced Diagnostics Division to increase service attachment, optimize service efficiency, and deliver exceptional clinical customer experience. This leadership role will oversee Service Sales, Product Management, Marketing, Business Process Excellence teams and report directly to the Vice President of Global Service.

Responsibilities

  • Define the market opportunity and execute the global service strategy for transforming to a high-growth revenue and accretive margin driver through impactful value capture initiatives.
  • Commercialize, sustain and position a portfolio of platform service plans and value-add services including training, compliance services, software implementation, and informatics solutions.
  • Deploy go-to-market strategy on service offerings to leverage clear value propositions, integrate into workflow solutions, drive market awareness, and enable sales channels to grow service revenue.
  • Optimize service selling processes and capabilities across all regions to deliver accretive recurring service revenue growth through the increase of service attachment at and after instrument point of sale.
  • Deploy a global service pricing strategy, regional governance, and performance metrics tracking to maximize price realization.
  • Standardize global service operating mechanisms, utilizing data analytics to improve commercial and operational execution.
  • Build cross-functional partnerships across global business segment and regional commercial teams to position product and service together to maximize customer lifetime value.
  • Build a high-performing team through talent development, retention, and fostering a culture of accountability and collaboration.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Science; MBA preferred.
  • 10+ years of experience in leading service growth, service marketing, or commercial excellence, preferably within the diagnostics or life sciences industry.
  • Proven success leading service transformation, increasing service attachment rates, and managing service P&L.
  • Experience leading cross-functional teams, including Sales, Product Management, and Operations.
  • Strong financial acumen and ability to drive performance through CRM data, analytics, and KPIs.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence at the executive level and work effectively in a matrixed organization.
  • Deep understanding of IVD laboratory environments (clinical microbiology, molecular diagnostics, or mass spectrometry).
  • Expertise in deploying digital innovation including AI/ML solutions.
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally as needed.
