The ideal candidate combines strategic thinking with hands-on execution, thrives in ambiguous environments, and has a proven track record of building supplier networks and procurement processes in a startup or new business context.

Qualifications

Required

  • 7+ years of experience in procurement, strategic sourcing, or supply chain management
  • Experience with reverse logistics, trade-in programs, or secondary market sourcing preferred
  • Demonstrated experience building sourcing functions, supplier networks, or procurement processes in a new business or startup environment
  • Strong negotiation skills with a track record of achieving cost targets
  • Proven ability to work independently with minimal supervision; strong self-direction and accountability
  • Excellent analytical skills and make data-driven decisions
  • Strong communication skills; able to influence cross-functional stakeholders and senior leadership remotely
  • Willingness to travel 25-40% as required
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Engineering, or related field

Preferred

  • Experience in scientific instruments, medical devices, capital equipment, or similar industries
  • Familiarity with refurbishment, remanufacturing, or certified pre-owned business models
  • Experience with ERP systems and procurement software
  • MBA or advanced degree
