Overview
We are looking for an strong Principal Financial Controller for the new BD legal entities in the DACH (Germany, Austria, Switzerland) region.
Responsibilities
- Responsibility for accounting and month-end close activities, including oversight of transactional processing by the shared service organization (SSO), for a group of M&A entities in the DACH region
- Responsibility for Statutory, VAT and TAX compliance of the M&A entities in the DACH region
- Drive integration of M&A entities into future Waters controls and processes
Qualifications
Education: Full membership of recognized accounting body; or equivalent accounting / tax qualification
Experience:
- Minimum 5 years relevant experience in a European Accounting position
- Audit background in an international audit firm or internal audit function
- Demonstrated relationship with tax authorities in the DACH region
- Strong knowledge of US GAAP as well as STAT, TAX and VAT rules of the DACH region countries, demonstrated both in theory and practice
- SAP, Excel, MS Office package, Blackline
Competencies:
- Fluent German and English language skills (written and spoken)
- Work independently as part of a geographically dispersed team

- Hands-on work approach
- Demonstrated ability to identify and resolve issues
- Flexibility and adaptability to work on multiple accounting topics
- Project and Change management skills are an advantage
