Principal Financial Accountant

Overview

We are looking for an strong Principal Financial Controller for the new BD legal entities in the DACH (Germany, Austria, Switzerland) region.

Responsibilities

- Responsibility for accounting and month-end close activities, including oversight of transactional processing by the shared service organization (SSO), for a group of M&A entities in the DACH region

- Responsibility for Statutory, VAT and TAX compliance of the M&A entities in the DACH region

- Drive integration of M&A entities into future Waters controls and processes

Qualifications

Education: Full membership of recognized accounting body; or equivalent accounting / tax qualification

Experience:

  • Minimum 5 years relevant experience in a European Accounting position
  • Audit background in an international audit firm or internal audit function
  • Demonstrated relationship with tax authorities in the DACH region
  • Strong knowledge of US GAAP as well as STAT, TAX and VAT rules of the DACH region countries, demonstrated both in theory and practice
  • SAP, Excel, MS Office package, Blackline
