Operations Quality Manager
Overview
The Operations Quality Manager reports to the Regional Quality Director, Americas. Responsibilities of the role include supporting all Quality activities in Milford Assembly and Kitting, the Franklin Distribution Center (GDC) and NPI (New Product Introduction), calibration activities within Milford and the Milford QA Laboratory. The role will also be responsible for critical Quality activity as it relates to new product transfers to Singapore. This position will lead the planning and execution of projects and activities for all of these functions and sites to improve product and process quality. They will analyze quality data, such as complaints, process non-conformances & capability, etc. to identify and correct quality issues. The Operations Quality Manager will be a key resource in identifying and implementing best practices for process improvement and driving customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Manage and direct QA resources in Milford Assembly, Kitting, NPI, Calibration and the QA Laboratory along with the Franklin Distribution Center and Singapore product transfers.
- Lead investigations of product quality issues and NCRs,
- Develop and report quality system metrics, leading Corrective and Preventive Action investigations, and driving improvement activities and projects.
- Define the yearly performance goals and development plans for each person within their group.
- Collaborate regularly with multiple functions (R&D, Engineering, Reliability Engineering, Purchasing) and sites (sister global manufacturing sites and contract manufacturers in Singapore) to resolve quality issues.
Qualifications
- A Bachelor's Degree in a physical Science or Engineering discipline is required. An advanced degree is preferred.
- A minimum 5 years of directly applicable experience in Quality Assurance Operations or a related field.
- A minimum of 2 years of people leadership.
- Experience with CAPA and internal audit systems.
- Experience with regulatory standards including ISO9001 and ISO13485.
- Experience working with Production Part Approval, Risk Management, Capability Analysis and New Product Development.
- Superior leadership, facilitation, interpersonal and communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to implement continuous improvement methodologies.
- Ability to work independently across multiple organizations.
- Good report writing and reviewing skills.
