As Inside Sales Specialist, this role will have primary duty for driving Chemistry Consumables Products sales of our full range of solutions and services within the Australian market space. The desired candidate should be a self starter who is focused on customer success.
Responsibilities
- Working in a matrix environment, the person will drive sales growth of Chemistry Consumables products, both objectively and collaboratively in the Australian Market.
- Accountable for driving business within all sales districts
- Meet daily and weekly productivity metrics (phone calls, phone attempts, e-mail etc.)
- Increasing market-share at existing accounts and prospecting new business opportunities.
- Utilizing telephone and electronic sales communication methodologies (email, voicemail etc.), team members will speak with and sell to laboratory end users and decision makers.
- Partner with Field Sales counterparts to drive business.
- Utilizing Waters' internal CRM database as a tool for tracking sales activities, open opportunities and campaign follow-up initiatives.
- Preparing and implementing comprehensive Business Development activities for their assigned sales territory/market.
- Delivering concise and relevant reports and updates on business development initiatives.
- Work together with the local instrument sales and service team to grow revenue in our Consumables and Service business

- Lead Qualification for inbound instrument opportunities
- Positioning and quoting of Waters consumables and billable service offerings
- Cold calling and identification of new accounts
- Reinvigorate dormant accounts
- Grow Waters eCommerce business by expanding current offerings and seeking new eProcurement channels
Qualifications
Education:
- Bachelors Degree, Masters, or PhD in scientific area such as chemistry, biology, or biochemistry
Experience:
- 3+ years chromatography experience: UPLC, Mass Spec, Sample Preparation
- field sales and/or marketing is a plus
Skills:
- Action oriented and eager to achieve results
- Sound communication and presentation skills
- Highly organized / well-prepared / time management skills
- Strong interpersonal skills and a good listener
- Matured disposition, positive attitude and strong sense of commitment
- Adaptive to a dynamic and ever-changing environment
- Strong technical background in analytical technologies, especially LC and MS
