HR Generalist
Overview
As an HR Generalist based in Belgium, you will support managers, employees, and HR colleagues across a wide range of HR activities, including employment administration, compensation, employee relations support, talent management, benefits, and shared service processes for EMEA. You will perform these responsibilities independently or in close collaboration with the local HR Manager.
This position combines core HR generalist tasks with a strong focus on administrative accuracy, employee lifecycle coordination, data management, and delivering reliable operational support across the HR function.
The role reports to the HR Manager based in Belgium and is initially being offered as a fixed-term contract.
The ideal candidate is service-oriented, highly organised, detail-focused, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Responsibilities
• Coordinate onboarding and offboarding processes, including documentation, system updates, and delivering HR introductions to new hires.
• Prepare employment contracts, contract amendments, reference letters, and other HR related or statutory documents.
• Support recruitment activities, including managing candidate communication and coordinating the offer process.
• Support the local HR Manager in preparing work council meetings by gathering required information, drafting documentation, and assisting throughout consultation processes.
• Provide guidance and day-to-day support to managers on HR policies, procedures, and employee-related matters.
• Support M&A activities by preparing HR documents and collecting required employee data.
• Maintain and update employee records in the HRIS and personnel files, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
• Manage HR inboxes, respond to employee inquiries, and provide timely and service-oriented support.
• Support leave management (e.g., vacation, sickness, parental leave) and maintain accurate records.
• Act as a partner to the HR Manager in the execution of HR initiatives, supporting decision-making with reliable data and preparation of documentation.
• Contribute to the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of HR policies, procedures, and processes.
Qualifications
Education:
• You hold a degree in Human Resources or Business Administration or equivalent by experience;
Experience:
• +3 years of experience in a similar role
• Good understanding of HR processes across the full employee lifecycle
• Experience in preparing HR documents (contracts, amendments, references, etc.)
• Good working knowledge of local labor law and HR compliance requirements
• Excellent computer skills, particularly in Microsoft products and HR databases
