Finance Business Partner EMEA Service
Overview
Waters has an exciting and challenging opportunity for a Finance Business Partner to provide business partnership, financial insights and analysis to support the EMEA Service business. This position is a member of the EMEA Finance Senior Leadership team, reporting to the Senior Director, Finance EMEA.
Based in either the Paris, France or Manchester, UK areas, the Finance Business Partner will also be a pivotal member of the EMEA Service Management Team, co-piloting the business with the commercial leader and supporting the commercial organization across EMEA.
The successful candidate should be committed to international mobility in order to take advantage of career progression opportunities in both Finance and in the Commercial organization, that may require relocation.
Responsibilities
- Business Partnering: The role actively contributes to growing the Service business profitably. Owns the performance management process from strategic priorities setting, to budgeting, forecasting, variance and trend analysis. Drives long-term strategic planning, assessing business potential and transformation. Delivers strong financial support on strategic ad-hoc studies (partnership, business case, investment scenarios). Key focus on KPI's, deep dive into business drivers, provide guidance, challenge plans, offer solutions, and ensure full buy-in of senior management. Ensures effective communication and understanding of the financial & business performance and drive accordingly the decision-making process (corrective plans).
- Finance Excellence: engage closely with the EMEA Accounting team for the Monthly and Quarterly Close, and establish a reliable control and compliance environment throughout all countries. Work closely with EMEA HQ team on regular reporting and analysis.
- Finance Transformation: support regional and global efforts to harmonize processes and procedures, implement new tools, including RPA and other automation tools.
- Join the EMEA Finance Leadership team, help streamline processes, and support collaboration for strategic goals.
Qualifications
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field is required, or equivalent experience.
- MBA or equivalent experience is preferred for accounting roles.
Experience:
- Proven substantial working in a commercial Finance role in a large organization, ideally in Life Sciences, or an Industrial or FMCG environment.
- Experience collaborating with commercial organizations, possessing an in-depth grasp of the priorities, mechanisms, and interconnections within those teams.
- Past experience in a fast-paced environment, ability to adapt and deal with ambiguity.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, PowerPoint and other business software.
- Experience of working within a diverse cultural setting.

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to partner with and present to senior executives.
- Ability to work within a complex matrix structure.
- Strong business, analytic, and technical competence.
