Overview
The Chemistry Account Manager II is responsible for achieving territory sales and profitability targets for Waters' consumables and lab automation solutions in South Korea. This role deepens Waters' presence in customers' daily laboratory workflows by understanding their needs, recommending the right chemistry and automation solutions, and securing recurring business through strong, long-term customer relationships.
Responsibilities
Territory Sales Execution
- Plan and execute regular customer visits to understand scientific and operational needs, promote Waters consumables and lab automation solutions, and generate orders and opportunities in the territory
- Analyze territory performance (revenue, run-rate, funnel, product mix, segment coverage, and competitor activities) to identify gaps and actions for growth and share gain
- Define and execute territory sales and order strategies, including focus products, target segments, promotion plans, and pricing approaches aligned with Recurring Business strategy

- Develop and execute account plans for key customers, including stakeholder mapping, opportunity planning, and actions to increase share of wallet and retention
- Identify and develop new business opportunities such as cross-sell, up-sell, competitive replacement, and lab automation projects, and drive them to closure
- Provide accurate short- and long-term sales forecasts in the CRM system to enhance visibility for supply planning and business decision making
Customer Engagement & Cross-functional Collaboration
- Organize and deliver onsite seminars and technical presentations to educate customers on Waters chemistry and automation solutions and create qualified sales leads
- Provide basic pre- and post-sales technical support for Waters consumables and lab automation solutions, and coordinate internal experts or service engineers when advanced support is required
- Collaborate with service, marketing, inside sales, customer support, and other functions to execute territory plans, share market insights, and deliver a seamless customer experience
Qualifications
Required
- Education: Bachelor's degree or above in Chemistry, Bioscience, Chemical Engineering, or a related scientific discipline
- Experience: Typically 3 or more years of experience in B2B sales or account management, preferably in life science, analytical instruments, laboratory consumables, or lab automation
- Language: At least intermediate English proficiency in speaking, listening, writing, and reading
- Presentation: Good presentation skills are required
Preferred
- Proven track record of achieving or exceeding sales targets
- Experience in Recurring Business / Consumables sales within the analytical instruments industry
- Experience engaging diverse stakeholders (scientists, lab managers, procurement, channel partners)
