Your New Role

The Assistant Manager, Assistant Producer supports the development and production of animated content for Warner Bros. Discovery Japan. Working closely with Producers and cross-functional stakeholders, this role contributes to the planning, execution, and delivery of animation projects from early development through final production. The position plays an important role in identifying compelling IP opportunities, coordinating production activities, and ensuring projects are delivered on schedule, within budget, and to the highest creative standards.

Your Role Accountabilities

  • Lead the development, planning, and execution of anime productions from concept through delivery.
  • Evaluate intellectual property opportunities and participate in content acquisition and development discussions.
  • Build and manage relationships with publishers, creators, production committees, licensors, and animation studios.
  • Drive project strategy, resource planning, and production execution across multiple concurrent titles.
  • Influence creative, production, and business decisions while balancing quality, schedule, and budget objectives.
  • Support franchise development, marketing partnerships, and long-term content strategy initiatives.
  • Mentor junior production staff and provide guidance on project execution and stakeholder management.


Qualifications & Experience

Required

  • 6+ years of experience in anime production, content development, or entertainment production.
  • Proven experience leading complex production projects.
  • Strong network within the anime, publishing, or content production ecosystem.
  • Experience evaluating IP opportunities and managing external partnerships.


Preferred

  • Business-level English proficiency.
