Your New Role...
The Staff Process & Automation Architect is a senior strategic technical leader within the Global Infrastructure Core Technologies (GICT) organization responsible for defining and governing enterprise-wide operational process architecture, automation strategy, systems integration standards, and workflow modernization initiatives across Warner Bros. Discovery.
This role operates as a senior individual contributor and enterprise architect responsible for long-term operational process strategy, observability-aligned workflows, platform integration architecture, and enterprise automation standards supporting global infrastructure and operational engineering organizations. The position carries broad influence across multiple engineering verticals and serves as a key driver of operational maturity, resiliency, operational scalability, and digital transformation initiatives.
The architect partners closely with Engineering, Infrastructure, Operations, Security, Finance, Observability, and executive leadership teams to architect scalable operational systems, optimize enterprise workflows, improve telemetry-driven operational decision making, and establish governance standards across process automation ecosystems.
This individual will lead enterprise initiatives focused on workflow orchestration, operational telemetry integration, event management, automation frameworks, KPI instrumentation, and enterprise systems modernization. The role serves as a strategic advisor and technical authority across multiple organizations and operational domains.
The ideal candidate combines deep expertise in enterprise systems integration, process engineering, observability tooling, operational analytics, and automation strategy with strong executive communication and organizational influence capabilities.

Your Role Accountabilities...
Architecture, Engineering & Strategy
- Architect scalable business process solutions that integrate with WBDs platform infrastructure, APIs, automation tools, and enterprise systems.
- Lead enterprise process architecture, workflow modernization, and automation strategy initiatives across infrastructure and operational engineering organizations.
- Owns enterprise governance standards and architectural direction for operational workflow integration, automation strategy, and observability-aligned process engineering.
- Build data visibility frameworks and KPI dashboards aligned to BigPanda's operational and executive reporting structures.
- Define and govern standards for workflow orchestration, operational telemetry, systems integration, KPI instrumentation, and enterprise automation practices.
- Architect scalable integrations across operational tooling, observability platforms, APIs, automation systems, reporting frameworks, and enterprise platforms.
- Drive enterprise operational transformation initiatives focused on automation-first design, resiliency, operational efficiency, and process standardization.
- Serve as a senior technical advisor to Engineering, Infrastructure, Operations, Security, and executive leadership regarding operational strategy, systems integration, and process modernization initiatives.
- Partner with engineering and operational teams to ensure enterprise tooling ecosystems remain scalable, measurable, resilient, and aligned to business objectives.

Business Process Engineering & Continuous Improvement
- Collaborate with stakeholders to assess current workflows, identify bottlenecks and system gaps, and design platform-enabled solutions.
- Develop process maps, documentation, and standardized frameworks to support consistency, scalability, and global expansion.
- Lead initiatives to standardize workflows, reduce operational friction, improve automation adoption, and enhance operational resiliency across multiple organizations.
- Define and monitor KPIs to measure system performance, workflow efficiency, and automation effectiveness.
- Lead change management efforts associated with platform upgrades, system migrations, and process transformation initiatives.
- Partner with operational leadership to improve incident response maturity, governance compliance, operational readiness, and service reliability.
- Develop executive operational reporting, trend analysis, and strategic insights supporting enterprise decision-making and operational planning.
- Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in business process engineering.
- Serve as a senior escalation and advisory resource for complex operational process and systems integration challenges.
Operational Platform Integration & Automation
- Architect event management workflows are fully integrated into BigPanda's systems, including CRM tracking, financial systems, and reporting dashboards.
- Drive adoption of automation, intelligent operational analytics, and workflow orchestration capabilities to improve operational maturity and reduce manual effort.
- Work with stakeholders around the Observability platforms to ensure that measurements are continually validated and improved ensuring reduction in noise and provide value.
- Support the day-to-day stakeholder engagement from internal teams and customers who support Automox for their customers. Additionally, work with the vendor and work to continually improve the product with the needs of the business.
- Implement post-event performance analytics tied to enterprise KPIs and revenue attribution models.
- Ensure event operations are standardized, system-driven, scalable, and measurable across all business units.
- Promote a culture of operational excellence, automation-first thinking, and data-driven decision-making across engineering and operations organizations.
Qualifications & Experience...
- 8+ years of experience in enterprise systems engineering, process automation, observability, infrastructure operations, systems integration, or related architecture-focused technical roles.
- Platform Architecture: Strong experience designing and integrating enterprise platforms, APIs, and system architectures.
- Business Process Engineering: Advanced knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma (Black Belt or Master Black Belt preferred), and process optimization methodologies.
Desirable Skills...
- Experience implementing AI/ML-driven operational analytics and intelligent event management systems.
- Experience supporting enterprise-scale observability, automation, or operational transformation programs.
- Knowledge of enterprise compliance, governance, operational resiliency, and risk management practices.
- Experience working in large-scale global enterprise environments.
- Familiarity with cloud-native operational telemetry, automation tooling, and Infrastructure-as-Code practices.
- Experience supporting operational modernization initiatives within media, entertainment, or large-scale technology organizations.
- Systems Integration: Hands-on experience with ERP, CRM, BPM, automation platforms, and workflow orchestration tools.
- Data & Analytics: Ability to design KPI frameworks, dashboards, and performance measurement systems using a data-driven approach.
- Technical Documentation & Governance: Experience creating architectural diagrams, integration documentation, and governance standards.
- Project & Change Leadership: Proven ability to lead complex cross-functional technical initiatives and drive business transformation.
- Stakeholder Management: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with business leaders and cross-functional teams.
- Mentorship & Team Development: Ability to mentor teams, foster a culture of innovation, and build organizational capability in process improvement.
- Strategic Thinking: Ability to develop and implement long-term, platform-centric solutions that evolve with organizational growth.
- Experience supporting operational modernization initiatives within media, entertainment, or large-scale technology organizations.
Hybrid Working - This role is advertised as a Hybrid work model, that combines remote and in-office work, following our current company policy and to be agreed with your Line Manager. Subject to any applicable laws, WBD / your Line Manager reserves the right to change this working agreement where this is essential to business needs and upon reasonable notice to you.
