Your New Role:

The Sr Analyst, Advanced Analytics & Sourcing Intelligence is responsible for delivering significant value to the business by providing business intelligence that enables the procurement department to make strategic and tactical decisions. This role will enable and provide advanced analytics through detailed design of data models, the development of data visualizations, and specialized reporting output. The role will also be responsible for managing data lakes and combining data from disparate sources. The Sr Analyst, Advanced Analytics & Sourcing Intelligence will provide data insights using internal and external data sources to support sourcing deal financial analysis, supplier cost optimization, monitoring of key KPIs, and supplier rationalization & segmentation analysis. The successful holder of this position will have excellent analytical skills, be detail oriented, and have a passion for turning data into actionable intelligence. This role will require an ability to effectively collaborate with the members of the procurement team and other analytical teams involved in the procurement process, e.g. Procure to Pay, FP&A, etc. as well as technical teams.

Job Responsibilities

Data Visualization: Create dashboards and other presentation delivery methods through independent analysis and interpretation of data to effectively monitor and report Procurement KPI's, sourcing project statuses and value measurement.

  • Drive significant value by creating executive reporting to enable leaders to make informed business decisions.
  • Manage existing data lake(s) to ensure we are capturing necessary information, QA new data fields, partner with tech teams to build new data lakes for procurement systems to enable cohesive reporting.

Forecasting, Modeling and Data Analysis:
  • Create and maintain monthly financial models. This includes meeting monthly with stakeholders throughout WBD to gather insights and understand strategic initiatives.
  • Utilize data expertise of multiple sources and analytic techniques to deliver the requested information and data models.
  • Support procurement intelligence needs including, but not limited to, supplier segmentation, supplier diversity, KPI development, spend categorization, supplier normalization, scorecard development and creation of financial models.
  • Own and provide analytic reporting to identify trends/insights and develop recommendations that will influence business decisions related to vendor spend, contracts, and supplier performance.
  • Demonstrate intellectual curiosity and appetite to support special ad-hoc project requests from across the department and/or stakeholders.

Process & System Accuracy Support:
  • Create training material and educate users on how to effectively leverage the analytical tools.
  • Partner with the systems team on implementation of improvements/enhancements to the procurement systems that support data capture & analysis.
  • Work with internal and external parties to ensure a high level of data accuracy in analytic models and reporting output

JOB QUALIFICATION STANDARDS

Work Experience
  • 3-5 years of experience as an analyst (e.g. business, data, system, procurement)


Education, Professional Training, Technical Training or Certification

  • 3-5 years of experience as an analyst (e.g. business, data, system, procurement)
  • Experience with Tableau and/or Power BI
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel (including modeling), PowerPoint, and Word.
  • MBA (preferred)


Knowledge/Skills
  • Excellent financial and analytical skills, expert knowledge of Excel and analyzing large groups of data (pivot tables, logical and reference formulas, financial functions, etc.) Strong data analysis and visualization experience with tools such as Power BI, Tableau.
  • Considerable knowledge of procurement, reporting, and forecasting processes
  • Proven ability to manage tasks to completion independently.
  • Strong analytical and system/process skills
  • Experience with system implementations
  • Experience with enterprise procurement systems (e.g., Ariba, SpendHQ, Workday Strategic Sourcing) and natural aptitude to rapidly understand any software tool(s) and/or system(s)
