Your New Role:
The Senior Test Engineer reports to the Senior Manager, Engineering and is accountable for defining test strategy, building and maintaining automated test coverage, and ensuring end-to-end quality for the services and data platforms that power our advertising technology stack.
Your Role Accountabilities:
Test Strategy & Automation
Design and execute comprehensive test strategies for distributed AdTech systems supporting ad serving, forecasting, targeting, measurement, and yield optimization.
• Build and maintain scalable automated test suites across APIs, services, data pipelines, and end-to-end workflows
• Develop robust regression coverage integrated into CI/CD pipelines to improve release confidence and reduce production defects
• Validate functional and non-functional requirements including performance, reliability, resiliency, and data correctness
• Implement automated quality gates, test reporting, and failure diagnostics to accelerate feedback cycles
Technical Proficiency
• Strong programming skills in at least one language: Python, Java, or Scala
• Experience with API automation, integration testing frameworks, and CI/CD tooling
• Strong understanding of SQL, data validation, and large-scale data quality testing
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and DevOps practices
Expectation: engineers scalable quality automation-not just test cases
Quality Engineering for Service Integration
Ensure reliability and correctness across interconnected AdTech platforms and partner integrations.
• Partner with engineering teams to define acceptance criteria and validate complex workflows across ad-serving, campaign management, identity, and measurement systems

• Develop and maintain API, contract, and integration test frameworks for internal services and third-party AdTech integrations
• Validate latency-sensitive workflows, data consistency, and event-driven processing across distributed systems
• Identify edge cases and failure scenarios in real-time and batch processing environments
Expectation: proactively identifies integration and system-level risks before production.
Quality for Platform Modernization
Support modernization initiatives by embedding quality practices into cloud native and service-oriented architectures.
• Ensure systems are designed with testability, observability, and automation in mind
• Validate scalability, resiliency, failover behavior, and operational readiness of modernized platforms
• Implement best practices for test data management, environment stability, and security/compliance validation
• Contribute to performance and reliability testing strategies for large-scale distributed systems
Expectation: quality scales alongside platform evolution.
Collaboration & Technical Guidance
Drive a strong quality culture through collaboration, technical rigor, and continuous improvement.
• Partner with Product, Engineering, and Operations teams to align on quality goals and release readiness
• Perform data-driven defect analysis and contribute to root cause identification and systemic fixes
• Mentor junior engineers on automation patterns, testing methodologies, and engineering best practices
• Promote shared ownership of quality across teams and development lifecycle
Expectation: improves both system quality and engineering maturity across the organization.
Qualifications & Experience
• Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• Quality Engineering Expertise: 5+ years in test engineering / quality engineering for distributed systems, with exposure to AdTech or high-scale platforms preferred.
• Hands-On technical experience: Hands-on experience with automation in Java/Scala/Python; strong knowledge of API testing, integration testing, and data validation using SQL and NoSQL databases. Experience testing streaming/data processing systems (e.g., Kafka/Spark) and cloud platforms (AWS/GCP/Azure). •
Quality Practices: Experience designing test plans, defining quality gates in CI/CD, managing test environments/test data, and driving defect triage through root-cause analysis.
• Collaboration & Mentorship: Demonstrated ability to partner with product, platform, and data teams, while mentoring engineers on quality and automation best practices.
