Warner Bros. Games Boston is a Warner Bros. Games development studio focused on creating free-to-play games for mobile platforms. The studio is utilizing its extensive expertise in creating persistent online worlds that foster powerful social gaming communities to develop its hit mobile game, Game of Thrones: Conquest.
The Job
The Senior Product Manager, Retention & Promotions will own the strategy, roadmap, and execution of WB Games' Retention & Owned & Operated promotional capabilities, enabling studios to drive engagement, retention, and monetization across our game portfolio.
This role will work closely with WB Games studios, central technology teams, marketing, analytics, and user acquisition to define how promotional and retention technology is integrated into live and in-development games. The Senior Product Manager will be responsible for identifying opportunities, translating studio and business needs into product requirements, and ensuring that promotional features deliver measurable impact across individual titles and the broader WB Games slate.
The ideal candidate has direct experience working in game development environments, understands live operations and player engagement loops, and is comfortable operating at the intersection of platform technology, data, and player experience.
The Daily
- Define the product vision, integration strategy, and multi-year roadmap for retention and promotional platform capabilities used across WB Games titles
- Partner directly with game development teams (design, engineering, production, live ops) to understand gameplay systems, player behaviors, and promotional needs
- Ensure promotional and retention features are designed to integrate cleanly into existing game architectures, live ops pipelines, and content cadences
- Lead requirements gathering and author functional specifications, supporting documentation, and success metrics for new features and enhancements
- Collaborate closely with engineering teams throughout design, development, testing, and launch to ensure timely and high-quality delivery
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders and external partners who will leverage the promotional platform capabilities
- Evaluate and validate feature opportunities by balancing business impact, data projections, engineering effort, studio implementation cost, and player experience
- Measure and analyze the performance of promotional features, assessing impact on individual game KPIs (e.g., engagement, retention, conversion) as well as portfolio-level outcomes
- Continuously iterate on features and roadmap priorities based on data insights, studio feedback, and evolving business objectives

The Essentials
- 8+ years of experience in product management, preferably working on platform or developer-facing products
- Demonstrated experience working on game development teams or game-adjacent platforms, including shipped or live titles
- Strong understanding of game development lifecycles, live operations, and service-based game models
- Experience with retention, promotions, personalization, or monetization systems in games or consumer software
- Strong understanding of AdTech, user identity systems, or personalization technologies; direct experience integrating with Ad Networks, Ad Mediation platforms, or similar systems is strongly preferred
- Proven ability to collaborate effectively with game studios, central technology teams, marketing, analytics, and external partners
- Data-driven mindset with experience defining success metrics and evaluating feature impact in live environments
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience
- Strong product strategy and roadmap development skills
- Solid understanding of player engagement mechanics, retention loops, and live ops constraints
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate complex ideas to both technical and non-technical audiences
- Analytical mindset with comfort working with data, metrics, and performance analysis
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, evolving environment
- Strong collaboration and stakeholder management skills
- Proactive and self-directed, with a bias toward action and ownership
- Comfortable operating in ambiguity and driving clarity across complex problem spaces
- High standards for product quality, scalability, and player experience
The Nice to Haves
- Experience working with SDKs or technical, developer-focused products is strongly preferred

In compliance with local law, we are disclosing the compensation, or a range thereof, for roles in locations where legally required. Actual salaries will vary based on several factors, including but not limited to external market data, internal equity, location, skill set, experience, and/or performance. Base pay is just one component of Warner Bros. Discovery's total compensation package for employees. Pay Range: $112,000.00 - $208,000.00 salary per year. Other rewards may include annual bonuses, short- and long-term incentives, and program-specific awards. In addition, Warner Bros. Discovery provides a variety of benefits to employees, including health insurance coverage, an employee wellness program, life and disability insurance, a retirement savings plan, paid holidays and sick time and vacation.
