Your New Role
We are seeking a Senior Privacy Technology Manager with a strong technical background in Python, Node.js, or Java, and hands-on experience with privacy-enabling technologies. This role requires a strategic thinker with a strong analytical mindset and the ability to translate privacy requirements into scalable technical solutions. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and is eager to roll up their sleeves while guiding a small team of developers. Senior Privacy Technology Manager will be responsible for architecting and building privacy technologies-leveraging APIs, AI, and cloud infrastructure-while also mentoring and managing a globally distributed team. This is a hybrid role combining leadership, strategy, and direct technical execution.

Your Role Accountabilities
Leadership & Strategy
- Lead and mentor a small team of developers.
- Define and drive the privacy tech roadmap in alignment with legal, compliance, and business goals.
- Translate privacy requirements into scalable technical solutions.
Hands-On Development
- Actively contribute to coding, architecture, and system design.
- Conduct code reviews and guide best practices in development.
- Build and maintain privacy automation tools, APIs, and data inventory systems.
- Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines and DevOps workflows.
Project & Stakeholder Management
- Manage onboarding of brands to privacy platforms and APIs.
- Coordinate cross-functional efforts across legal, engineering, and product teams.
- Present technical strategies and progress to senior leadership.
Qualifications & Experience
- 5+ years in software development or privacy engineering.
- 2+ years managing developers or technical teams.
- Strong experience with Node.js, Python, or Java.
- Deep understanding of privacy principles (e.g., GDPR, CCPA).
- Proven experience in global or cross-regional roles.
- Comfortable working in a small, agile team with high ownership.
- Familiarity with data mapping, lineage, and cataloging tools.
- Knowledge of data governance and information security principles.
- Familiarity with agile methodologies and product management frameworks.
Preferred:
- Experience with LLMs and unstructured data analysis.
- Background in media, entertainment, or tech industries.
- Certifications such as CIPP/E, CIPT, or OneTrust Professional.
- Familiarity with streaming and similar products/services

Hybrid Working - This role is advertised as a Hybrid work model, that combines remote and in-office work, following our current company policy and to be agreed with your Line Manager. Subject to any applicable laws, WBD / your Line Manager reserves the right to change this working agreement where this is essential to business needs and upon reasonable notice to you.
