- Your New Role:
As a Senior Linux Engineer, you will serve as a key technical leader responsible for architecting, implementing, and maintaining mission-critical Linux infrastructure across large-scale, enterprise environments. This role demands deep expertise in Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL), strong proficiency in infrastructure automation, and hands-on experience driving modernization initiatives that enhance platform stability, scalability, and operational efficiency. - In this senior position, you will act as the primary escalation point for complex Linux-related issues, ensuring the reliability, performance, and security of the organization's on-premises compute environments. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with VMware Aria Automation (vRA), Ansible, Jenkins, Packer, and advanced scripting, coupled with a solid track record of delivering automation-driven improvements.
- Your responsibilities extend beyond day-to-day operations; you will influence architectural decisions, establish best practices, and lead cross-functional efforts to standardize Linux deployments and streamline provisioning workflows. As the subject matter expert for Linux systems engineering and automation, you will enable consistency, reduce operational toil, and help shape long-term infrastructure strategies.
- To be successful, you will possess a unique blend of business and technical acumen; a big-picture vision as well as the drive and attention to detail that transforms vision into a reality. You must be willing to work as "one team": Building relationships with internal stakeholders, external vendors, all while contributing within a highly collaborative environment.
