Your New Role...
The Senior Accountant, Fixed Assets, is responsible for executing and supporting fixed asset accounting activities across Warner Bros. Discovery's global portfolio. This role ensures accurate processing of fixed asset transactions including capitalization, retirements, disposals, and depreciation. The position supports month-end close activities, prepares reconciliations and reports, and assists with audits and compliance efforts. The ideal candidate will have strong technical accounting skills, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate across teams and geographies.
Your Role Accountabilities...
- Assist with internal and external audits, including SOX compliance and documentation
- Support month-end close activities and ensure timely and accurate reporting
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Tax, Finance, and Operations
- Prepare and review journal entries and account reconciliations related to fixed assets
- Participate in process improvement initiatives and system implementations
- Maintain fixed asset records in SAP and ensure compliance with US GAAP and company policies
- Process fixed asset transactions including additions, retirements, transfers, and depreciation runs
Qualifications & Experience...
- 3-5 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably in fixed assets or general ledger
- Experience working in a large, global organization is a plus
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required
- CPA or progress toward certification preferred
- Strong understanding of US GAAP and fixed asset accounting principles
- Experience with SAP S/4 HANA or ECC preferred
- Familiarity with internal-use software capitalization
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other reporting tools
- Strong understanding of financial systems with ability to learn and master new system tools
- Capacity to effectively manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment, meeting deadlines while balancing competing deliverables
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- High attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
- Willingness to collaborate with global teams, including India-based capability centers
