Your New Role...
The Producer at CNN en Español must be a versatile professional capable of conceptualizing and creating original multi-platform content, both as standalone pieces and as part of a broader show or across various platforms. This individual must have a deep understanding of the multifaceted work involved in producing high-quality content, including writing, creating graphics using Viz Pilot, sourcing and researching guests or experts, editing impactful packages, and integrating complementary materials to enhance the show with new media elements, social media links, and the creation of polls or contests.
Your Role Accountabilities...
- The producer will oversee following the newsbeat and communicating top stories to the network daily to provide editorially strong content for all platforms and CNNE's affiliates.
- This person will oversee keeping a global calendar a year in advance as well as updating all events throughout the year plus developing coverage and content strategies accordingly including all the award shows.
- This person is multi-platform innovative and understands the importance of follow up and continuing packages in the long-term planning of multi-platform entertainment content.
- The Producer can create a full segment for digital, a show's rundown or produce multiple and create catchy headlines for digital show content uploads.
- Will work with various content providers in the network as well as with digital, social media and program planners, to develop concepts for current shows and will execute them in a 360-degree cross-platform production manner, while responsible for providing the necessary adapted elements ready/cleared to be used by the different network platforms.
- He or she will also collaborate with graphic artists, editorial, digital and production teams and take the lead on entertainment breaking news. Generating, pitching and executing original reporting and story ideas are also a responsibility of this position.
- Will be responsible for line producing special segments from the control room, as needed and work with Newsgathering and Multi-platform for content selection and production.

Qualifications & Experience...
- Minimum of 5 to 7 years production experience in the television news industry.
- Financial & business knowledge & experience is needed.
- Fluent in Spanish and have "high level conversant and written English.
- Must have a deep understanding of digital and social media strategies and audiences.
- An understanding of data and metrics to make a strategic decisions to inform our daily editorial decision making.
- Ability to edit scripts, write, and edit tape material.
- Must learn the CNN's audiences and data metrics and be able to identify and produce video editorial content to those audiences.
- Oversees editing of final product.
The Nice To have
- Multi-platform content production is a + for any candidate.
- Knowledge of MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Premier, Avid and Final Cut Pro, iNews, and Mediasource a plus.
