Your New Role:
The Manager, Learning Technology & LMS Operations leads a team responsible for the operational health, continuous improvement, and delivery of WBD's learning technology ecosystem. This role manages day-to-day platform execution and vendor partnerships across Workday Learning and the broader federated LMS landscape, ensuring reliable learning delivery, compliant tracking, and a consistent employee experience. The Manager translates approved objectives into actionable work plans and staffing assignments for a team, driving near-term delivery across enhancements, releases, support, and reporting for Learning & Development solutions.
Your Role Accountabilities:
TEAM MANAGEMENT & PEOPLE LEADERSHIP:
- Translate approved objectives for Learning technology into team work plans and weekly schedules, with clear priorities, deliverables, and due dates.
- Make near-term staffing assignments across the team of 5 (Sr Analysts, Functional Lead, IT BA) to execute agreed work plans; rebalance coverage as priorities shift across BAU support, enhancements, testing, and reporting deliverables.
- Be accountable for the results of the people, projects, and processes managed-ensuring delivery is completed on time, meets quality expectations, and aligns to agreed operating plans.
- Review team progress on a short-term basis against operating plans, budgets (where applicable), and schedules; identify risks early and implement course-corrections (reprioritization, sequencing changes, or resource reallocation) within approved guardrails.
- Lead core people-manager responsibilities: set goals, provide coaching and feedback, develop skills, and manage performance to sustain reliable execution and strong team culture.
- Partner with peers, stakeholders, and vendors to execute agreements and work plans; ensure decisions and actions are documented, tracked, and communicated so the team can deliver consistently.
LEARNING PLATFORM OPERATIONS & SERVICE DELIVERY (25%):
- Own the day-to-day reliability, performance, and user experience of the learning technology environment, ensuring employees can access training, complete learning, and receive accurate completion tracking.
- Lead operational intake and prioritization for requests and issues; ensure timely resolution, clear communications, and well-documented outcomes.
- Establish and monitor service performance expectations (e.g., responsiveness, resolution quality, platform availability) and drive continuous improvement in how the learning tools are supported.
- Partner with cross-functional teams and external vendors to deliver stable operations, resolve recurring issues, and maintain consistent service delivery.
- Ensure operational controls are followed (access, data handling, change readiness), and escalate risks or constraints that could impact delivery timelines or user experience.
DELIVERY EXECUTION: RELEASES, TESTING & QUALITY STANDARDS (20%):
- Plan and execute near-term delivery across enhancements, configuration changes, and platform updates by translating approved priorities into clear deliverables, timelines, and assigned ownership.
- Lead testing and release readiness activities, including coordinating test plans, UAT cycles, release cutovers, and post-release stabilization to minimize disruption and ensure quality outcomes.
- Establish practical quality standards for learning-related changes (content packaging readiness, functional testing, tracking/measurement accuracy) and ensure the team applies them consistently.
- Manage delivery risks, dependencies, and tradeoffs within approved guardrails; adjust sequencing and resourcing to keep commitments on track.
- Ensure changes are implemented with appropriate documentation, stakeholder signoffs where needed, and consistent operational handoffs.

LEARNER EXPERIENCE ENABLEMENT & ECOSYSTEM IMPROVEMENTS (15%):
- Drive improvements that make the learning experience easier, more consistent, and more scalable, reducing fragmentation across tools and simplifying how employees find and complete learning.
- Coordinate enablement for learning technology changes, including readiness planning, communications support, and adoption activities so users understand what is changing and how to engage.
- Partner with stakeholders to define and deliver near-term improvements that support a more "one-stop" learning experience, including standardization of common processes and user pathways.
- Support integration and interoperability needs across learning tools where required to improve end-to-end learner experience and reduce manual work.
- Identify improvement opportunities and recommend pragmatic enhancements that align to approved objectives and help the organization deliver learning more effectively.
REPORTING, COMPLIANCE TRACKING & INSIGHTS (10%):
- Own delivery of accurate learning reporting and completion tracking to support operational needs, compliance requirements, and stakeholder decision-making.
- Translate reporting needs into clear requirements and deliverables for the team; prioritize enhancements that improve data accuracy, timeliness, and usability.
- Coordinate data validation and reporting governance so metrics are consistent, trustworthy, and aligned with agreed definitions and standards.
- Ensure reporting approaches consider relevant privacy and regional considerations; escalate constraints and implement approved mitigations as needed.
- Use performance trends (adoption, completion, service patterns) to recommend improvements to the learning technology environment and operating approach.
Qualifications & Experiences:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Information Systems, HRIS, Learning Technology, or a related field.
- 7+ years' experience supporting enterprise learning platforms (LMS/LXP) and/or HR systems in a global environment.
- 2+ years leading cross-functional teams (direct or matrix) with proven ability to deliver results and build high-performing teams.
- Comprehensive knowledge of learning systems administration, integrations, testing/release governance, and vendor management.
- Strong stakeholder management, communication, and documentation skills; ability to operate against short-term operating plans, budgets, and schedules.
Not Required but preferred experience:
- Experience with Workday Learning configuration and reporting.
- Experience with ServiceNow HRSD enablement and embedded learning/content delivery.
- Experience with analytics platforms (Power BI/Tableau) and learning impact measurement.
- Familiarity with SCORM standards and learning content packaging/testing.
