Your new role:

Be part of the leadership team for Brazil-focused Communications (PR) strategy and execution for WBD's linear and streaming portfolio, promoting our IPs, shows, products and brands; cultivate ongoing relationships with agencies, journalists, influencers and internal stakeholders (Production, Programming, Legal, Finance, Marketing). Communications activities are key to drive subscription growth, engagement, ratings and revenue in Brazil.

Your role accountabilities:

  • Work with vendors (agency) to develop strategic public relations programs to build, promote and differentiate the WBD brands in Brazil (i.e, press events, influencer campaigns, media tours; programming premieres, press releases, talent relations, etc.)
  • Execute the established strategies, engaging content and experiences as needed, including but not limited to press releases, editorial content, media pitches, briefing books, junket briefings as well as web and social content, among others and coordinates day-to-day operations with PR agencies and regional WBD areas and offices to establish a successful workflow and delivers optimal results
  • Map, build and develop key relationships with journalists, KOLs and influencers and manage media relations, story pitches and logistics for publicity events. Monitors media coverage within Brazil as it relates to company brands, interests, talent and issues, managing critical incidents processes under the direction of the region communication direction
  • Monitors media coverage and social media in Brazil as it relates to company brands, interests, talent and issues, managing critical incidents processes under the direction of the region communication direction.
  • Support talent management of local production.
  • Role also includes leading corporative communications in Brazil, including WBD's participation in conferences and other speaking opportunities, and managing media requests related to WBD's positioning and business strategies, supporting our business units such as ad sales and distribution. It also includes managing the internal comms team.

Qualification & Experiencie:
  • Solid experience in publicity/communications experience in an entertainment studio, network, agency or PR firm.
  • Bachelor's degree in Journalism, Communications, Public Relations or related field (MBA a plus).
  • Advanced English
  • Proven experience developing and driving PR & publicity campaigns in Brazil (regional/LatAm exposure is a plus).
  • Experience working with talent (briefing, press days, junkets, set access, issues management).
  • Demonstrated expertise in building and maintaining a strong network of Brazilian media contacts and influencers.

  • Spanish
  • Advanced analytics literacy for PR measurement and insights storytelling.
  • Experience with Internal Communication
