WBITVP Deutschland is a creative and talented company that develops, produces and distributes local language content in all major genres: Scripted TV & Film, Studio Entertainment, Docureality. WBITVP Germany produces for public and commercial, VOD & SVOD channels in Germany, Switzerland & Austria. High profile franchises include the entertainment shows The Bachelor, Bares fur Rares, Fboy Island & First Dates and scripted titles Wilsberg, Murder in the North, & Marie Brand.
Your New Role...
Together with the Finance Accounting Manager, support all aspects of controllership activities for WBITVP Deutschland, liaising with local management and production accountants and the wider production teams. Responsibilities will include supporting balance sheet reconciliations and local controls, management accounts, statutory accounts and audits, tax providers, and coordinating financial accounting requirements with production accountants. The role will report to the Finance Accounting Manager in Cologne.

Your Role Accountabilities...
- Responsible for month end accounting activities, working together with local management and production accountants.
- Support Finance Accounting Manager to ensure balance sheets are reviewed and reconciliations prepared to an acceptable standard for both US GAAP reporting, tax and statutory purposes. Coordinate with business process owners to clear reconciling items on a timely basis.
- Support Finance Accounting Manager in the execution of local processes and controls to ensure business operates in accordance with WBITVP divisional and Warner Media group policies.
- Support Finance Accounting Manager to ensure appropriate data integrity. Monitor the day-to-day financial operations within the company to ensure compliance with local regulations, local GAAP and US GAAP.
- Work with local management, production accountants and ITVP Controllership Poland to reconcile and manage the reconciliation and settlement of intercompany transactions. Provide support in quarterly reporting processes including management of quarterly AR ageing report.
- Monitor cash and bank clearing activities to ensure appropriate and timely clearing. Coordinate clearing instructions through discussion with production accountants and local management.
- Ensure appropriate and timely clearing for open-item-managed accounts clearing activities (including cash and bank, AR and AP clearing). Coordinating with the production teams and local management, posting of customer receipts, oversight of AP and expenses processes including the administration of bank accounts, credit cards and prepayment cards.
- Support Finance Accounting Manager in providing information for other WB partners including ITVP HQ, Tax partners and Corporate Finance.
- Support the preparation of information for annual audits and other regulatory processes.
- Participate in systems development and deployment as required.
Qualifications & Experience...
- Accounting qualification preferred with experience working in similar finance function
- Fluent German and English language (written and spoken) essential
- Prior experience working in multi-national matrix organisation beneficial
- Prior experience working with outsourcing partners beneficial
- Enterprise system skills required (Just Produce / Navision and SAP preferred)
- Advanced Excel skills required. Mid-level for all other Microsoft applications required
- Proactive, detail-oriented, exceptional organizational skills
- Must be a team player with the ability to develop good relationships across multiple teams
- Prior work experience within a similar industry, or other relationship-based industry, preferred
- Must be self-motivated and able to work under a deadline and handle multiple tasks
- Ability to work independently as well as partner with others
